1st Soil Grow - Big Bud XXL. One month down!

Just wanted to see if I'm heading in the right direction for a healthy yield...

Dirt (not sure about hydro yet)
400 Watt HPS bulb
Using an ACTUAL closet, 2' D x 5' W x 3' to bulb. Painted white
Fan for circulation
Ionic fert, added in small amounts to water. Been at full fert amount for 2 weeks
Only doing one plant to try my hand... Not sure if I'll need more bulbs to grow more

Started germination on Dec. 15. She's about 13" tall so far. Very green and very symmetrical leaf growth. I've read it can take 6 weeks to begin flowering. She has more and more leaves every day. Her height may be a little low because I had a temp grow spot set up in my crawl space until I could move it. She LOOKS good... But I'm not sure if she's on the right track.

Oh, and I started on 24 hour light until it got to about 6" and now I'm on 18/6 light.

Never liked Big Bud or this derivative Big Bud XXL, people buy the name, not the plant. I'll create a strain one day and call it Super Resinous Monster Mind Fuck.

I inherited this grow and seeds from someone who moved to a medicinal state. I've been dry for 3 months now and I just can't stand it. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Don't smoke too much after such a long break, you'll probably have a panic attack if you do. That's guidance you can take the grave.

Im growing Big Bud XXL at the minute, im harvesting in around a week or two, I have however taken an arm off to smoke as a little preview and although it does not pack a punch like some other strains it is generally quite a smooth smoke. Ive also heard its quite an easy plant to deal with as it isnt as tempermental as other strains so its good for a new grower such as myself. Although saying that I wouldnt grow it again, I'd go for a stronger strain.
