That's what I use too. It comes in different thicknesses, and you can cut it with a pair of scissors. You can also re-use it for a couple of years. Three years is pushing it if you use it outdoors, the rubber degrades in the sunshine.

Yup, never seen those and those look pretty easy to deal with.

Yea they are. Very easy. I got them at the hydro store.

I dont know what it cost or how much comes in a roll. I told them what I needed and they just took some they had unused in the shop and threw it in my bag.

Easiest thing to readjust LST with that i have used for sure.

Tuesday update.

All is good. They have healed quite nicely from my hack job on Saturday. I put in the scrog net this morning.

Light has been nothing short of excellent. Absolutely love it.

Plan is to veg for a couple more days to fill the net a bit better. Then to flip. I will continue to tuck thru flower to keep canopy even. I have 27 inches between light and canopy right now.

Plants are 1 foot tall. After stretch I should still have about 15 inches between light and canopy when all is said and done.

Thoughts? Suggestions are very welcome as this is the 1st scrog I have done.

@Spiderfarmerled

Thanks,
WIZ

hey man great thread. Plants are looking really good! I’m in the same boat, I’m about to run a new sf1000 with the dimmer for 3 autos in my 2x2x5 tent. from this thread I gathered that with at least a distance of 30” between the light and canopy, you can keep the light at 100% , but anything less than 30”, you should dial down the intensity...? Now as far as the different stages go. Is the 30” @ 100% rule safe to start right away from seedling? or should I dim it lower? Excited to run this new SF.

I found dimmed and close worked best for a seedling. As they grew I raised the intensity until they got up potted. Once I did that I raised the light and turned up the intensity.

Thing is I have the light as high as possible and still can't go past 80% intensity without some younger leaves curling over to avoid the light.

I think I will be able to go full blast for flower. But for now 80% has worked well for veg.

i just wonder the difference between autoflowers and photos with light intensity. There’s no repotting or flipping autos, so I wonder what heights and intensity with this light would be appropriate

I solo cup and then finally pot my autos. Its a misnomer that you can't transplant a auto.

But every strain has its own needs, every pheno of every strain has its own personal to much is to much requirements.

Its not a linear subject tbh.

I never repotted autos cause i worry the possible couple potential days of transplant shock during the veg period could be crucial to the yield, but yes every strain and pheno is different and can adjust accordingly

If you transplant in the dark gently and before it goes rootbound you can have damn near zero shock time.

I do it right when it goes dark so it has the dark period to recoup.

Never have an issue.

Interesting fact about my cat. She has Bert and Ernie stuffed toys she sleeps next too. I dont put them next to her she sleeps next to them or the dog.

I transplant all my plants, photos AND autos.

There is no difference in conditions for an auto as far as light height and intensity.

Flipped on Saturday. Will continue to tuck for a week if possible. If I run out of space I will add a second net.

Light still working perfect. No issues and great growth.

I want to say the whole scrog thing has been alot of fun.

For those of us who like to fuck with out plants often, filling these squares really allows me to scratch the itch to be in there.

My outdoor plants I'm always bending, plucking, tying down and so on.

My point is so far scrog has been therapeutic.

I am having to leave above the heater open in the canopy so the heat doesn't get trapped under the canopy unfortunately. But controlled height so far so good. I feel fairly good about the how even the canopy is. Not perfect but again 1st attempt at it.

Any thought on how to improve the scrog are welcome.

Light is perfect. Zero issues and as we can see great growth.
