Wutsup RIU, I wanted to say this site is great and I probably wouldnt have gotten this far without you all
After years of wanting to grow with a few small failures I decided to really try it.
I have 9 plants in a new grow box which is about 3x3x5 ft.
There all currently in about 3 or 4 inch diameter pots ( I was thinking today thier too small)

I'm using all CFL for my first time, one of the big things i'm trying to stick too is not throwing tons of money into this, I know theres people who will argue HPS and MH are cheaper but i'm waiting to see how much these CFLs hike up the bill, and theres also the heat issue....
Anyway I decided to use CFL and maybe as my knowledge and skill increases i'll upgrade, but I have to say I like the CFL's. I feel like its a much better idea to start off nice and easy with a lot of DIY then just going and spending a ton of money on something you really don't know that much about, which i don't but am learning and am doing real nice so far, ya dig? I don't even think i'm going to use any nutes my first grow, i really just want to see what happens with the basics...plus there all bagseed hahah....

OK so sorry about that rant, I'm using both types of light right now, I have 6 cool blue 27 watt bulbs and 4 warm red 27 watt as well as 2 x 42 watts bulbs they are all spread evenly.

My method for watering is by the weight and moisture. I like to change my watering it from waiting for the soil to get anywhere for just damp- almost bone dry without hurting them.

I rotate them at least once a day and also rareange them, really think it helps. Also i airate them, i think this helps too.

Theres a digital thermometer and small fan which is always running. I am going to put a small exhaust fan and vent soon then get to finally shut the door.

Thats it for now, if anyone has any questions, suggestions, critiques, arguments or really just anythign to say feel free...

Sorry if I came off rude in this, didn't mean to.

Thanks, keep it growing...

Heres some updated pics...

I trimmed some of the lower sets of leaves on most of the plants, they were turning yellow and justblocking light to the inner leaves, was this a good idea?

I lowered the plants down to get them to grow a little bit higher.

Co2 seems to be helping, or at least not hurting them

comments welcome...

Well i'm posting this about a week later, I don't know if anyone is watching but i have a few updates and a few new pictures the better 5 of the bunch.

I raised the lights to about 3 inches off the tops because they were barely growing vertically.

I trimmed some of the larger lower leaves as you can see in the pictures but not all of them. I was wondering if anyone thought I should do the rest? They seem to be the ones that are turning yellow, and it will give more light to the inner leaves and branches...

I heard from a buddy that it was really good to use water from a de-humidifier to water them because it has been filtered and whatnot, is this true?

I have 6 outside and I decided to bring one inside to see what happens, if anyone has any experience with this please let me know how it went.

I also got a new exhaust fan, I will put in soon and get the door shut finally.

Well thats all for now, thanks for checking it out.

and please any comment welcome
