1st Time Grow~PC Stealth Setup~Help is Appreciated

This is my first grow, and i decided to go ahead and use the PC Stealth method, due to suspicious parents always going in my room looking for "something".:cuss:

Any way this is day 1

Day 1

So a few days ago i got some seeds from a friend of mine, supposedly there some type of Arizona seed, but i can guarantee that they are shit seeds, but we will soon find out.

Mean while i made a stealth pc grow box. Pics will be posted below

SO HERES THE MATERIALS IM DEALING WITH AT THE MOMENT.


Enclosure: HP PC Case
Ventilation: Two 12v HP fans
Medium: Miracle Grow
Strain: UNKNOWN
Growing Pots: Styrofoam cups i stole from work
Lights: 3 x 26w x 2700k CFL

Criticism is appreciated and tell me if im doing anything wrong so i can correct my mistakes.

So i decided that i wanted to move the lights up and i was going to wait until the seeds sprouted, then i will move the cups them selves closer to lights, because i couldnt find a way to lower and raise the lights in a easy matter.

so here is what the setup looks like now.

Looks cool.
Good idea to move the lights up. Try to get the thermometer up a bit too. The key place to check temps is 2 or 3 inches below the lighs as that's where all the action is going to be.
Try to keep the little adapter for the fan outside the case if you can too as this will add to the heat from the lights if it's inside the case.

I'm gutting an old computer this weekend. I wan't to build one for fun even though I'm doing a differant gro also, but looks good so far!
 
the only problem i have is is that its not so stealthy when the lights are on because the intake and exhaust have alot of light coming thorough, what could i do?

They do leak light don't they?
Try getting an empty OJ carton and cutting off the top and the front. You can tape this over the fan so the air gets in/out but most of the light gets trapped.
Make sure to have the intake and exhaust pointing in different directions so you don't heat up your cool air though.

accidentally put two seeds in one cup. the other cup is stretching. but i didnt take a pic. i will update later
 
looks like you have sticks in your soil as well? or are they roots?

you need to do something about that, roots might get tangled and u mite end up destroying them both on transplant
 
Hey man, nice setup - good effort!

I was just wondering how you managed to attach the power strip to the computer case? Lots of duct tape or?
