1st time grower, ?'s smell?height? fresh air?

This is my first grow, i have been reading countless pages on this forum and have got my idea of how i am going to try to grow, but i must keep this away from my parents ... i have a wooden box in my room with a lock on it that my dad made with me when i was a kid for fun, im trying to get 2 plants growing in it now. The dimensions are 1ft tall, 1 1/2 long, 1ft deep. I have the insides coated with tinfoil to reflect light and i have a large circular 22watt flourescent light, and two baggie seeds in paper towels now.
I was wondering if i needed to give them fresh air or can i just use the yeast/sugar in waterbottles? i read about growing techniques to keep the plant short by have the stem growing in a circle instead of straight up and i am going to try this. If i do run out of room, i have a large speaker that is 2 1/2 ft tall and i could end up using that.
If i keep this box in my room, would it start to stink or would it be ok to keep it with it locked up? There is also a vent in my room that i could try to use if i need it. I could move the box to my basement of smell is going to be a factor.
Any suggestions would be great.

move out of your parents house before you start playing. you could put their house (the roof that is over your head), the cars, and all of the belongings in jeopardy. they could very well be seized...

what if i wait until it gets warmer..wouldnt it be easier to grow outside

If i know anything, its not to grow in your parents house!!!

Seriously, I'm a first time grower here, and I'm amazed at the extent to which my veg stage girls just reek - and I filter the exhaust through serious carbon.

You've allready got positive suggestions & i'll toss mine in too.

Look,we were all young once & we all know what your top priority is with this grow,which is keeping it secret from mom & dad,your first prority should be saftey,when you dont have your priorities straight it's easy to make bad choices,like using cheap dollar store extension cords,using dad's shop lite from the garage,piling clothes around & on top of your grow area to camo it better.

Now lets say to hell with saftey & talk about your box,looking at the measurements you gave it would be a tough grow even for an experienced bonsai grower to accomplish a productive grow yet alone a noob who has people in the home watching him.

The speaker box isnt much better an idea because its not made to have heat & electricity inside it,which means you'll need to take saftey precautions(other than keeping it secret) & you'll have to ventilate with power fans,being that 100% secrecy is the main goal you will not be able to achive both.

I will not help you take chances with your famlies lives doing an indoor grow,however i will help you with an outdoor grow because i know you are going to grow something somewhere even if it means taking stupid chances.

When the weather warms up you'll need some supplies before you start.

Potting soil.
Top soil.
Vermiculite.
Perlite.
Peters 20/20/20 fertilizer.
Magnifying glass.
Heavy duty plastic garbage bags,the black (thick) kind for yard work.
A way to get water to your plants.

Round up these items,pick your outdoor grow spot & revisit this thread,then i'll help you through the entire grow.

ight i was doubting the indoor grow anyways..

line the inside with mylar, set up ur lights on the top of the box, maybe by screwing the lights up or watever.plant ur seeds, and stick a fan in there. probably should cut a small hole in it for air flow ( somewhere not noticable) maybe that will help
