Hello all. First time grower. excited to start but I have so many questions. YES. I know I'm overspending on equipment. I'm willing to pay for the discretion the system provides. That is important to my woman and that was a prerequisite for my pending purchase. The videos I've watched super simplify the process, but I know better. LOL Before I place the order, I want to spend as much time as needed to ensure I'm starting the right kind of grow, with the right strains for the grow space / system that I'll have. Prioritized questions:

- dirt grow vs supersonics system? if a hydroponic based system yields better plant, what goes into a hydroponic grow?
- should i purchase a CO2 kit?
- what kind of yield (per plant) should i realistically expect?
- any suggestions on the type of strain(s)?

Eager to learn all that I can. So thanks in advance for anything that any of you share. If anyone has experience with this cabinet system or any other grow cabinet, your feedback and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Herbal happiness to all ya'll!

For your first grow I would go with soil, something like Fox Farms Ocean Forest, very forgiving and you can get away with just using water for almost the plants whole life.
Just from experience.. my first grow I tried hydro bud didn’t know what went into it and killed a nice plant I had been given..

Co2 seems to me to be for a more advance grower for me but I have heard great things about it..

Yield is something people are touchy about here. I would advise NOT to post pics/threads asking how much you’ll yield. The answer will always be “about a pound”. There’s really no way for anyone to know because all set ups and genetics are a little different. I’m in a 2x2x4 space right now and I’m guessing I’ll pull 3 ounces off of one plant, just for a small idea of what you can get. This is my first grow as well..

Look up top yielding /easy to grow strains. Big Bud, Critical, and a few others produce big yields and are easy to grow.
Also, grow strains you want to smoke!!

And finally, nothing beats fingers in the dirt experience.

Hope I helped some man!! Much love and happy growing!

I’m only on my first grow so I doubt I would argue with you on anything! I’m open for learning and debate! Anything else you wonder just ask
