1st time Growing, my plan thus far.

Well as you can see I'm new to Rollitup, I've done more browsing than posting.
I am thinking about growing but wanted to check if the conditions will be ok, will they survive so on and so forth.

I have a plant growing in my bedroom window just to see how it goes with sunlight, in common soil in a small pot, not expecting much from it.

For my plants I was wondering if this would be ok to grow in, just in my back yard in England.

The weather is hardly ideal so I would use a heater in the greenhouse

This is just a cheap paraffin heater which burns for a week on one filling. I would also have a fan blowing and maybe cut some flaps for ventilation?

The Green I'm thinking of buying is Early Misty from Nirvana, it's a short plant and rated "Easy, good for beginners"


Will this work? I would pretty much leave them to nature, watering them every couple of days and feeding them standard nutes when they are abit older. Any Cc is great, post away.

can you grow in england legally? but ya that sounds good, sunlight is the way to go, i am jealous.

It will be illegal but I'm willing to take the risk. I might throw some tomatos in a clear one next to it to throw anyone off, just took some pics of my little baby in the window

If there is anyone else that will be within 50 feet of that thing you'll need to implement some sort of proactive odor control like a fan nd carbon filter. Ganja is VERY smelly and your jail cell would be about the same size as that greenhouse.

When would it begin to smell? There are neighbours either side and one is quite a busy body. Is there any way to really nullify the smell because that really would ruin it for me.

Just to add, I do smoke Ganja, have done for years but I'm new to growing. I know it will smell but when will the smell become impossible to hide? There is a public park toward the end my garden which means i can't divert it to the end of the garden.

Next to snitches, odor is one of the biggest things that gets people caught. Carbon air filters work great, but they are noisy. Ozone generators can be used effectively on smaller crops. More elaborate setups include ultraviolet ionizers and other electrical equipment. Unfortunately, all of these solutions require a power source.

It looks like you can see through that greenhouse a little. I have heard of people clipping plastic flowers onto ganja plants to disguise them. That would probably work swell in that greenhouse.

I'm trying to do this in a way that wont run up a huge electricity bill. Carbon filter seems like the best bet atm, any idea how power hungry they are? Will they really rack up the electric cost?
Also to disguise I'm thinking of having a small see-through greenhouse (about 1 foot in height) close to the bigger one (with my ladies in) growing some tomatoes, just to throw off the scent. Also I might use some trellace fencing around it and train something along the lines of broad beans to make it harder to see into.

My main problem at this moment is then smell, and then heating it. If i use a carbon filter I'd rather not have the paraffin heater in there. I did a little reading and the filter seems like a great idea though.

for your greenhouse this is what I suggest for you. Get some mint plants, some lemon something or other (plant that smells like lemons) basically plants that give off strong aromas. my buddy who grows outside does this every year. has strong aroma plants around his plants and honest to god you cant ever smell his plant always smells like lemons or something haha. but that could be an alternative seeing as its in a green house ya know

Yeh well any suggestions are welcome, I'm only really worried about the smell when the plants budding. I may ask a friend who has a grow room to bud mine with his, good idea? Hopefully he wouldn't steal my babies.

The main question for this thread is: Will this setup work?

just a comment- i chose to grow indoors because of neighbors.

I guesstimate my electric costs for a 1000W HPS is $30 per month.

and mine didn't start smelling until day 45.(there are cheap ways to filter the smell and push it out a window - i think it would be harder to disguise once outside.
