1st Time Growing with CFLs . Need Help !

I believe they take a couple of weeks (maybe 2-4) to mature even if they are 12/12 from seed. They are looking better w/ every update!

I think that 320 actual watts of CFL is more than enough for 2 plants as long as you keep them really close to them. I've read that 100W per plant properly placed will do the job.

I know man my cell phone sucks lol it's been 3 days since I posted that pic and she's definitely flowering .. I fed her today for the 3rd time . using FF nutes mixed in a quart of water. gave her all of it . no run off . she's kinda droopy but I'm sure she'll be all right. Hey Chief, temps go down to 50 at night , will I have any problems because of that ? I bought a heater for her but my setup is so small the lowest setting on it with 1/2 hour ON and 2 hours OFF shot the temps up 85 . the first night I checked the highest temp had been 95 !!! so .. I went with No Heater 38.jpg
she's 38 days old . very bushy .

I have, actually, seen your journal already, Grower. I have spent a good amount of time in these forums before joining. I did gain alot of info on CFLs from the links amongst your journal, as well as the journal itself. I'm loving the look of my first babies. I'm just paranoid as a first timer is supposed to be, I guess.

I had to buy a heater for her night cycle due to temps going down to 50 and had to take the humidifier out of my grow box , since I don't have enough space in there for both. with that said , RH dropped down to low 20's . Will I have any issues because of that ? I moved some lights around ( always have to mess with my box for some reason ) and broke one :-? 26watt bulb so down to 340 true watts of CFLs. 300watts of 2700K and 40 watts 6500K. I have 2 42watt 6500K bulbs but not sure if I should add more 6500K since it's on 12/12 cycle . She is crazy bushy :weed:

She's growing a bit slow due to sprouting already burnt . but she's still growing so I'm happy .
Can't wait till either of them show pistils .


P.S
 Planning on adding some soil to the pot so the lower branches get more light.. Should I wait till she stretches and just add more soil to the top ? or I was thinking maybe soak it up when I need to water her again , take it out , add some soil to the bottom and put the old on top of it ? this way I would help lower branches get more light sooner but I don't wanna stress her out more then I already have . Any comments are welcome and thanks for looking .

Don't worry man, you're OK for now-no need to run out right away.
300 is plenty for a few.
Check my link, I just finished mine with a total 305w.

50 is fine, but if you get down below 45 or so, you might notice some slow growing, and below 40 for an extended period is where I encountered a P lockout.
Do you run your lights at night? That's what I ended up doing so I didn't need a heater, and kept temps down during the day.

I've been watching your grow man . waiting on your dry weight report :weed: You did a great job
I might just end up with High Hopes and give Shithead to a friend who will turn her into a mother plant , which would leave just 1 plant - 320 watts. Haven't done any LST at all thou , so I'm sure I won't yield a whole lot , but any bud will be good for my first try . gotta get there first thou ... 2 months I figure

Update : High Hopes . Week 6 . 3 weeks since the flip . both are looking great! Hope you start getting some bud formation on High Hopes soon. As of feeding Shithead w/ veg/bloom nut mix I would keep feeding her w/ veg nuts until I see some pre-flower/flower/sex.

Update . High Hopes . Day 50 (meant to update yesterday @ 7 weeks )
Using FF nutes . just Big Bloom atm. not sure when to start adding Tiger Bloom . she's already forming buds . 4 weeks since 12/12 and I think it took 2 weeks for her to start flowering.

P.S. there will not be any more updates on my smaller plant which was 12/12 from seed. She's been adopted and hopefully will grow to be a healthy mother to bunch of clones :-P

This was my first ever grow and thanks to this forum and good people here I made it till the very end .

I became a bit paranoid and got rid of most pictures. these are the only ones I could find. finished this plant back in May I think . gave me about 1.5oz of some good stuff

she had like 310 true watts exclusively . my Uhaul box can only flower 1 plant at a time and I let her go all natural. no topping or fimming or lst of any kind.

Good stuff man, I can really relate to that slow start with the stunting and all.

But MAN! You turned it around and made it into one BEAUTY of a bud!

How good was the smoke? =)

I didn't have patience to properly cure it . I smoked it away as it was kinda curing in my glass jars I guess .. and then my main cola had some mold in it that I found out later . saved most of it but regardless taught me a lesson . very potent stuff...more Up then Down ( could have been because I harvested a little early ) . as far as taste... it started out grassy and got nice and tasty in the end when I was almost running out of it LoL . I was very happy with the results I got from my first try . shared it with some friends and they loved it too

Trying LST for first time . very happy with results so far . here's my first plant at day 25 that hadn't been
touched at all 25.jpg I'm loving the difference. I tried cloning the top but I had never done that before so I'm not sure how it's gonna turn out
P.S. I'm using the same pot

Critical Kali Mist . 1 Month Old . 1 week since topping . Timer set to 12/12 today . Last night she got 15/9 . Just a little help for transition won't hurt I guess ;-)
