well man here is what i did but i am growing on a small scale stealth but i took a papertowel soaked in vinigar and then poored baking sodea in a container and put it together. i had had an ant problem but the vingar smell keeps them away and baking soda and vingar make co2

Hey kids today is the first day of 12/12! Yay we made it this far! I had a hiccup when I went to break in the HPS last night. It didn't fire. I tried it this morning and it did well so it's been installed in the flower side of the room, along with the 5 girls. I also installed the solid state fan controller and my carbon filter setup is humming along quite smoothly. Not 110% full blast like before. After this grow there will sit 4 aero tubs in this space with 6 plants each under 2 1000w or 2 600w. I STILL haven't decided!

I am going to post this question in another thread but I'll ask it here too.
1. Should I trim the bottom branches for an increased yield?
2. How big do you think these guys will get, and how many days should I expect (approx) before harvest?

Not sure if i said it or not but HTG sent me the 400w HPS and it's working great. TOO GREAT.

My plants are outgrowing my room! FAST! I knew I shouldnt have vegged so long but I wanted to ensure clones. UGH!

You have come a long way! Keep up the good work. Also if you just started flowering, I would expect them to double in size!

(that is if indica, sativa could triple in size), An indica will take 6-8 weeks to flower.

Sorry that I can't help you with your space issue. At least having too much growth is the kinda problem we'd all like to have.

But I do know of a cool website if you're ever having insect questions again. It's What's That Bug? If the insect isn't already up on their site, you can send them a picture and they will help you I.D. it.

Hey thanks for the link. I think someone sent it to me back when i first discovered the buggers. It's warming up finally so we'll see if anything crazy comes out. when i am done with this grow i am gonna blast the room with some bug killing something or other before i start my hydro grows. and if i can ever get the hang of cloning i am gonna set up a different room for soil. hopefully on a much larger scale.....

oh I forgot to say, when i broke that stem it smelled just like an orange... Very citrusy. i don't think all of the seeds i planted were the same strain though so we'll find out when they flower I guess!

oh no! I had the same issue and cut the main cola before it really started budding, the prob with HPS->flower is stretching....I tried MH to start flowering this time and I am not seeing near as much stretch, once buds actually form im gonna put the HPS back in.

I still got some really nice sized colas off that other plant though, the one that got too big. It was just a 400w HPS on one plant though

edit: forgot to say that IMO those things are going to be EFFING giant. I flowered at like 9" and ended up, 3 gal pot and all, at like 3 feet.

Yeah guys great... I have HUGE healthy plants. Blah blah blah! For most people this isn't a problem. In fact it's great! It would be great for me except I have flippin 6 ft ceilings in my damn basement. These monsters are a disaster!

Ha ha ha OK I'm done being dramatic. I think I'll add the MH tomorrow though, maybe the extra 400w will slow those bitches down.
Whatdya think?

If I can pull this off without fucking things up I am hoping it will pay for the investment in the room thus far, plus what I want to do to the room to finish it.
Ugh... business....

I know it's ridiculously early and lots of catastrophic things can happen between now and the answer to my SuperNOOB question. BUT let's take some bets on how much dry weight 5 60" plants under 800 watts will yield in about a month from now. Ha ha ha ha.

What a fun game!

And this is just because you wanted to play, but yes way to early! LOL

I am just taking a guess, I never have grown in doors that tall, or that few plants, or with 800 watts, I use 1000. But I will guess you will get about 6-8 oz's!
But damn I know you what you mean about the sleep, I am days away my friend! hard to sleep over here!

Its not my first, but I am excited about the BUD!

Yep. while i was down there today i noticed something a bit strange to say the least... POLLEN SACS! AHHHHHH What a sneaky snake. I think this bitch turned butch on account of a power outage we had 2 days ago, among other stresses such as me introducing the screen and crazy temps. the outage was during lights out but it messed up the sched by about 1/2 hr. the others arent phased (yet). I hope it didn't screw my 4 little girls that are left, that bastard!

SO NOW WHAT DO I DO WITH THIS MALE?

Can I extract anything usable from it?

Here are pics of my plants I have been flowering FOREVER and also a couple of the clones that will go into flower as soon as these are out. (Some in the aero tub and some in soil)

Also got 15 WW and 15 AK47 seeds which will probably be a new journal.

ALSO planted a few sites outside (mapped em with my GPS) so we will see how that goes.

I have about 50 more (bag)seeds to go outside so I'm excited for that. Anyway here are my pics and a question. HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN THEY ARE READY TO HARVEST?

Do I really need to go to radio shack and buy a mini-scope so I know when to harvest?
