Would a small make shift tent count as stealth? probably run some philips or cree globes.. Any thoughts on cup modification..?

cool. That is the mods I was referring to. I ran soma style beds back in the day. The applied the same method to plastic pots. Then got fabric pots and didn't need to do it anymore... It works great though. Go ahead and do that method. Or if you can come up with something better. In the other comp. Psuagro is running air pump / stones into bottom of the cup.

Okay so this is my first Saturday update I registered just a few days ago but the orange and green cups are really taking off there using the sand and KGrow so not exactly 100% organic on those two but it is really great stuff I recommend it just make sure to get the one with perlite added, the pink hello kitty cup that I'm using the Organic Miracle Grow in however is not doing well at all she is pale and not growing much I added some more green tea, camomile tea, egg shells, shrimp tails mixed with sand hopefully there will be enough Nitrogen from the green tea to perk her up. Any one know something organic I can give her to help her out? Really trying to stay organic with that one.

Blood meal can be somewhat faster acting than alfalfa or kelp meal for topdressing, but fish emulsion will work for fastest acting. Even just a few chunks of fish, shrimp etc, rotted in water, for a day or three....then strain and use, if you need a small supply quickly. A little liquid from yogurt, tofu, kim chee etc... [lacto bacteria acid LAB] will help start the fermenting process too....

Mad props on those ferts.....very curious about a few actually.....I want to try the tea's for one. The shrimp tails is awesome choice. I am thinking about catching crawdads here in a couple of weeks for a my outdoors garden and then use some of them for the inside too.....

The ferts I use are:

stinging nettle meal [I pick and dry it]
vetch meat [I pick it, related to alfalfa, more nutrients by volume]
rock dust [basalt, granite, andesite, some pumice, volcanic river clays]


Water
stinging nettle tea
comfrey tea
fuchsia tea
malted barley extract tea [!!!!]
fresh aloe
coconut water

Hey guys..
First time n00b checking in, although I've been researching and lurking on this site for a couple years under a different name. I just planted a seed about a week ago and planned on starting a grow journal with my desk lamp grow, but this sounds a little more interesting. I know I may be roughin' with the big dawgs, but I figure I may be able to pick up a few things on the way. This grow was only intended for experimentation, really just to see how I do with this type of thing before I make any serious investment, therefore it'll be a good comparison to see how far experience can take you under so many limitations.

I have 5 fem'd seeds, and with that order i received 5 DNA sleestack x skunk #1 regular seeds. I'm saving the fem seeds for when I have a more stable grow setup, so I will be using these seeds and hoping for a female. I'm limited on space at the moment, so I will focus all my attention on one seed and go for maximum plant health if it turns out male. I'd like to harvest some pollen off of it for future breeding anyway. this strain, although it may pose to be a challenge, interests me more than Barney's Farm LSD does.


She's sleeping right now so I will post pix tomorrow morning of my current setup and seedling, but here's the low-down:
-1 seed planted ~1 week ago, maybe a week and a day or two.
-I'm using MG organic choice potting mix (no hate please, this is a budget wal-mart grow, plus I've seen "success" with it)
-I purchased some Expert Gardener tomato & veggie plant food (9-12-12) before I did much research, so I will be saving that for when flowers start forming. This may change because I may end up getting something else for flowering when I get some vegging nutes. I will update accordingly.
-I'm using a small desk lamp (nothing special) with a 100w equivalent, 1500 lumen, 65k (will be changing that soon), CFL.

It's not enclosed at the moment but I will be constructing a small house for her within the next couple weeks.

Like I said, I'm a n00b, so let me know if I'm out of place or what not. Also please let me know if you notice anything that I'm doing wrong. I know that is not what this thread is for, but it's nearly as easy just sending me a PM

As far as ferts, I would go with something a maybe a little lower in P and even then I would still cut that dosage by 1/3rd. You could do something like Osmocote or Soma Garden Additives [organic dry ferts from Home Depot]. Then all you would have to do is water.

I highly recommend going with something like fish meal emulsion and liquid kelp. Those two alone with water have pulled me from bean to bud.

Im sure someone else can chime in about a fertilizer ratio, I am on an organic formulas, which are cheap and easy, so its a bit different than bottled nutes, so I am just limited in giving advice for that topic.....

I'm all about organic ferts as well, it just seemed easier to get something thats already pre-mixed and rationed. Like I said I just sort of saw it and bought it without knowing for sure whether I was going to use it.

I've considered going with fish meal emulsion and liquid kelp, but I was worried about the smell seems how she's in my room.. I suppose it can't be all that bad if I'm going to keep this grow micro, so I more than likely will end up going with that. Thanks for your input!

I've also decided to plant one of my fem'd LSD seeds so I'm not just counting on one plant. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Is this still open? I have a couple ww I was gonna clone and flower, I might as well have it mean something lol. I just saw it and registration may already be closed. I also have some beans I could pop too. I am in the other solo cup contest but I could throw my clones in this one if that's cool? I would be using 1 or 2 100 w cfls inside a suitcase or similar sized box.
