2 600w hps in grow tent?

Is it a good idea to have two 600w hps lighting system in a 4x4x6 grow tent? Is this to much light? Is it not safe?

well it will be hot i think, check my journal in sig. doing 2 x 400 watts in a small room. 350 m3\h extraction fan and a 185 m3\h intake directly onto plants, oscillating fan directed between light and plants and im still way up there in temerature.. its about 10 degrees celcius here now and i moved my intake to take fresh air outside and im still up in 90+F..

i would think you need quite a fan to cool that tent, i cant see it beeing done without air cooled reflectors atleast... im gonna get some myself to get the temps down

this is what i have at home 2 lumatek 600w digital ballest, 2 lumatek 600w hps bulbs, 2 xtrasun 6 air cooled reflector. I was going to run 3 fans in the tent with a ventilator fan. I didnt want to set them up yet without getting expert opinion on this board.

had the same set up your talking about. and it will get HOT in there..as long as you can vent the hot air out the room, and keep the room the tent is in cool anuff you'll be ok. if not your going to fight it all the way...but on the other hand two 600s in a 4x4 tent is a bad ass..if you can keep it in check.
