2 bulbs, 1 cooltube

like the raunchy title said, i wanna gang bang my bulbs into one cool tube. i have a 8 inch cool sun "cool tube" that i got for 80 on sale at my local grow store.

i never had trouble with heat before, so the purpose of the purchase is to add more light!

i've already sized up the modifications and it can be done. however, i have to ask the experts out there.
is this really a good idea?

the bulbs would only have about a inch of space between them. and because i'm only running one fan(besides tower fans) , i will have to use the tube to remove air from the tent to filter as well.

what can happen here. glass get too hot crack ? bulbs bust into a million pieces ? or probably nothing

yes u can do this they sell hoods designed with 2 sockets ..............just rem increase your CFMs to account for the 2nd heat source in there

don't have a fan controller , so its always full speed . couldnt find any forum items, or youtube videos showing this done with a cool tube before. i'm gonna hang these bad boys vertical. adding rcdwc hydro this time as well . gonna be some time dialling in everything.

well the hood i know about is ment to hang over top of them .........i was thinking about it for 2 600watts HPS and MH

i am not sure about what u are talking about i would not advise it with 2 bulbs tho in one hood just for the sheer fact u have to have 90 degree bend that close to the fan u have lost a good 50CFMs

I would say if your not planning on using a dual bulb hood it may not be a good idea. Since your talking vert that would mean no hood.

check out the club 600 thread here. A lot of those guys are vert experts and will chime in and help you out without any bullshit or bad advice.

I've never had any problems with a dual bulb in a cool tube.. I set it up for a vert

Mines the real deal Pyrex so no issues. Original bake a round..
