2 fans ventilation help.

My setup

400w hps cooled hood
2.5x2.5x5.5 tent
6 in Carbon filter
6 inch 440cfm fan
6 in duct booster fan
Oscillating fan

The inline fan placed outside of tent due to space.

Working on keeping temps down

Should I Have one of the fans solely dedicated to cooling the light? If so which fan booster or inline 440?

Or should I go
filter >duct> light> duct goin out of tent>Fan

Open flaps on tent for passive intake if I'm not using the booster fan for that.

If I was going to use a hoodie it would require its own fan(s) and vents, closed/sealed from the grow. The grow would get its own ventilation system separated from the cool tube.

Yep. Use a sixer for the hoods own closed loop system. Place it close to the hole as you can...
Sucking OUT. Negative pressure . Dont listen to dorks telling ya to blow THROUGH the hoods. A 400 watt isnt too hot and you could prolly get away with blowing but the right way is negative pressure. ...sucking out. Removes more heat..And use the other sixer to vent the tent. Booster fan could be used as an i take....but make sure you filter this if the coolest air is from the outside. And if your not running co2 (which you would be wasting if your venting on a timed or thermostat/humidstat control) then run intake and out take vent fans 24-7.

Oh shit...thought you had 2 sixers...booster fan wont cut it except for small intake. Get another sixer homie...for the scrubber/room vent. You need it to do things proper. And with that small of a tent...even a small ass 4 hundo will get toasty in summer months approaching. Insulate every piece of ducting you can and place all fans OUTSIDE of tent. Radiant heat is your worst enemy. Insulated ducting is the way to go.

So which fan would u suggest using for the light and which for the room/ carbon filter?
I go with blowers and 1kw hps/without glass or cooltube. These other guys would know more about specific fans/filters for smaller grows. I don't grow in populated areas so carbon filters aren't a concern for me.

if you want to use a 1000 hps open hood I would suggest looking into a/c also you will need it.

You only need one exhaust fan for the cool tube but I'd recommend an intake fan equal to the exhaust for the grow.

Usually you'll get some specs with the cool tube that you can use for choosing the fan.

I have 8'x8'x8' for the grow and the same for the moms. I circulate through the mother room from the budders. Intake and exhaust happens in the grow using thermostats. I shut the budders down in the summer.

Yea just got the 1 big 440 CFL exhaust fan
And a 6in duct booster fan.

I've got some insulated ducting so I'll use as much of that as possible.

I might end up not even using my carbon filter it takes up so much head space in the tent & I live in a 3 story condo. I dnt think I'll need to worry about smell too much.

Idk if I can afford another big fan right now. So maybe I'll try getting intake air directly for the house vent. & I'll vent the light further away than it is. .
I'll upload pics later

Air cooled hoods are ideal for small tents under 5x5 in my opinion. Ac units (portables) take up valuable floor space in tents unless you use them to cool the room the tents are in. I used to run tents....they were a pain th my ass..for years. I tried every which way you can think of to cool them. Finally i just pit them inna dark basement and left ylthe doors unzipped. I realized quickly that my basement was now the growroom with canvas and poles in the way. Lol. Finally built rral rooms...customized to my liking. I still use a big ass 7x7x7 tent. But this has a bunch of t5's and its my veg mom and clone room. All preflowers get bushy here before going in the flip rooms.

Yes space is valuable but i dont like the 10% loss from the glass off the top from the bulb. There are so many different ways you can cool the area. The first cab I built was 4x2x7.5 oh the things I have learned since then

Here's Wat I got just playing around with used pieces of duct
(gotta head out and grab some more)

Its hot up in this loft area otherwise I'd have put the tent up here lol.

I'm thinking of just not using the carbon filter. It's like a 3 story condo & I never have company. So I'm tryna decide if I even need to use it. Cuz that wud free up space.

Your condo neighbors will more than likely smell cannabis growing especially near harvest. Before i used charcoal filters (venting or sealed) the smell REEKED my whole house and yard up. Especially in the warmer months. When i had a traditional vented grow room with a scrubber it still stank some what. Especially in the house. Sealed room and scrubber is best but its got to be properly sealed up and lower humidity. Scrubbers do not work very well when the air moist. My prediction is even with a scrubber your area will smell. Without one the whole condo will reek to high heaven. Trust me. My house reeks of dirty gym socks and skunk asshole pretty much 365 days a year. Its a smell iam used to. Oh amd by the way....every house ive grown in in the last 7 years has attracted skunks spraying around my outside vents and boarded up basement windows. Had one last night as a matter of fact. Stinky bastards. True skunk spray is different. But they think some other skunks are in the area

Insulate the heated duct side off the reflector bro. If not...that radiant heat will just warm up the tent even more.

I'm going to use insulated duct on from the light to exhaust fan
And Im gunna use the booster fan to pull air directly from the ac vent on the ground .

Trying to decide where to vent the air to. It gets so hot in that loft areas but it's either that or sumhow into that little closet up there

Its not a question if you want it or not you have to think about your neighbors. I dont know if you are in a medical state or not but if you are complaints can bring unwanted attn. Here in Colorado if you get complaints that is enough for them to come knock on the door and ask you what you are doing and see your grow if you deny them access they sit there and get a warrant then you dont have a chance to deny access.

its possible to use the tent up there or even the whole space as a grow depends on the budget and what you would like to accomplish
