2 Hrs On....2 Hrs off cycle for flowering? Guess the result

okay guys...

Been growing for awhile now... Had one of those, 'what if ' , moments while tokin it up with some buddies...

What would happen if a plant was on a 1-2 hrs on, 1-2 hrs off cycle during flowering??
My thought was that it would be an instant hermie..

Been two weeks and looks just as female as my other females under normal 12/12, but buds are growing a little faster..

any thoughts or rhyme or reason to this ??!?!

wait til the end. they are growing faster because they have the male pheno in them and it is trying to stretch tall above the females so it can spread its pollen.

Do you have any pics of the buds actually swelling up more than the buds on 12/12 or is the plant getting taller like j.o.C mentioned?

I agree the plant is stretching because of sub-male genetics the stress is to much when a lighting schedule is this frequent. What if we had you work for 2 hours then sleep for 2 hrs for 24 hours you would be very tired

Ya.. I actually have my timers on a 15min on/ 15 min off schedual their entire life.. Really boosts my yield.

im gonna wait another week to post pics to show more results. I'm thinking hermie too, but this plant is not stretching at all . It's just developing bigger amd faster...

And no, I'm not saying i have hit on a new way to grow to radically change what we all know works..
just an experiment !

not to call you out but there are studies showing that sleeping short periods of time through the day verse sleeping all at once can be just as effect way of getting sleep....They did test where subjects where allowed to sleep in 30 min blocks then do mind stressing tests...they did time blocks of 30min , 15min , 1 hour , and so on.....they found that people that got 30 min of sleep preformed as well as people who got over an hours worth of sleep.. i know is nothing to do with growing LOL just thought it was interesting

well, boys, as we guessed...I grew one of the most beautiful HERMIES you have ever laid eyes on...
BUT !!!!! for two days, timers did not work well and was on full 24 hours light. If this did not happen, i think they would have been fine. I will not the experiment from scratch again ...
I was too pissed to take pics.
To answer a few questions. grown under HPS and MH, switched every two hours

YES BUT THIS TEST DIDDNT GO ON for MONTHS. so no any HUMAN would not benifit from 2 on 2 off for 3months.
