This was my first CFL grow, reduced lights to 12/12 on Jan 24th.....one is clearly a male, the other I think may be as well, but not 100% sure...opinions?

pic of the male, and close up....will post again with second plant

first is a male for sure, second one is looking pretty mannish to me. I would get a second opinion. Curious, were they from bag seed or regular beans?

if the other is a female let them polnate and have a bunch of seeds so you dont have to buy any more seeds if a good variy and start a new crop if not chop chop and start over anyway

They were assorted seeds from vancouver seed bank, so just a mixture of odds and sods

yeah, that second one seems to have a few signs of being male....at this point I would be happy with a hermie

I was in the same boat, and rather than waste a few more weeks waiting for them to be ready to burst, I just cut them down and started over. I have enough seeds to keep me trying out different strains for a while. When I'm running low I'll consider making seeds.

But I got two females the second time around!

I agree....BTW: how are your girls doing?

Since I'm new at this game, I figure I'll try to learn something from the death of these wretched bastards.

Maybe I will over-fertilize one and over-water the other to learn the signs of these common mistakes.

The limited winter sun should be enough to sustain their pathetic lives so I can continue to abuse them without wasting electricity
