2 Medical Patients Growing Together

Well me and my girlfriend both have our cards and we live together. I was wondering if we could both have 6 mature and 6 immature so it would be 12 and 12?

it depends on your county, check your county homepage for their specific regulations.

Nice! i have some family in Bakersfield they go by state minimum over there. as i understand the law it 12 immature and 6 mature each. so you could have 3 moms and run a 12 plant perpetual harvest and still be well within the law. i dont know what your physical abilities are, but several of our more disabled patients find it much easier to harvest 3 small plants every 2 weeks than to harvest 12 every 8 weeks or even 6 every 4 weeks. one person buys new clones ever 2 weeks rather than maintaining mothers.

If both of you are patients you are allowed to grow for yourselves. It would help for you to have a growing collective sheet on the wall signed by both of you with copies of your recs next to it. http://www.safeaccessnow.org/downloads/SampleCollectiveAgreement-New.doc But honestly from what I know 6 and 6 is the minimum in the state no matter what county so there is no reason each of you cant have their allowed plants.

The number of plants you can grow and possess varies from city to city.
Generally, if your city or county does not have a higher limit, you may possess up to eight ounces of dried marijuana, up to six mature plants, or up to twelve immature plants. This is the lowest maximum under state law, and your city or county may have a higher limit.

A rec is a doctors recommendation. You should print out the sheet I linked above and have the original with your grow with copies of your recs and IDs. Even if you are allowed higher numbers it is always good to have this. You are allowed to get together with other patients to grow, prop 215 was written with this in mind. So if your home is the location for the "collective grow" you should only need the collective sheet with your members signatures and their doctors recommendations.

what is a growing collective sheet? N what do u mean by "recs"?

http://canorml.org/prop/local215policies.html

NOTE: On May 22, 2008, the Second District of California Court of Appeals ruled that the state limits on medical marijuana possession and cultivation established under SB 420 are unconstitutional. The court's reasoning would seem to apply only when the SB 420 numbers are used to limit patients' rights, but has been interpreted otherwise by police who would prefer to ignore them. On January 21, 2010, the California Supreme Court in essence affirmed the ruling.

California NORML strongly advises Prop 215 patients to continue following the SB 420 guidelines – six mature or 12 immature plants and 8 ounces of processed marijuana except where local guidelines specify more. The Supreme Court’s recent Kelly decision has been widely misinterpreted to imply that the limits no longer apply, and that patients can therefore grow as much as they want. In fact, the Court’s decision lets the police arrest anyone who exceeds the guidelines, The only thing it disallows is for the guidelines to be used as a basis for conviction in criminal trials.

I am trying to do this with a friend at his house. I have my 99 plant 2#s he has a normal rec. Can we fill out that sheet and put 99 for number of plants allowed and 2#s for amount allowed?

Hey everyone hows it going, I've been reading these forums for a few days but I just now registered an account so I could clear up confusion in this thread.

The law here in California is 6 mature plants OR 12 immature plants, it is NOT "and". So basically if you have any mature plants your total amount of plants is limited to 6. Some counties and cities have adopted regulations that allow for more, so you'd have to check in your specific area. But those are the minimums set by the law and no county can set laws below that. The 8 ounces of dried bud is separate so you can have that in addition to your plants.

So to answer the original question, if you and your girlfriend are living together you could have a total of 12 plants if any are mature, 24 if none are mature, and an additional 1 pound of dried bud between you. I would post the original copy of your doctors recs and copies of your ids in your grow room just in case.
