Do the drivers already have plugs wired onto them?
From what I understand theirs just three wires on the driver, I think I'm going to put a plug on each driver, powering 2 qb96elites each, plug them all into a power surge and run a heavy duty extension cord the the five. (With a new breaker of course.) I know theres probably a way to wire the drivers together as well, I just want the least amount of unnecessary wires all over the place. What would you do partnerDo the drivers already have plugs wired onto them?
Done and done. I was thinking about running the drivers to the outside of the tent. But I'm not sure yet. Probably just keep it simple although 5 drivers may produce heat, and to be honest I havent made up my mind. Any thoughts on that. Thinking about just screwing them on a board outside the tent, but dont want to lose power. I will soon have it thought out.Individual plugs for sure....The input lead on those drivers are pretty short, you could get some extra length of cord for those too, with the heavy duty plug ends.
I was under the impression I needed 18 ga copper wire?I think you got most of the info. Aw16 is right, 2 qb96s to one driver in parallel. That means driver + to 3-way wago and positive on 2 qbs to the same wago. Then same thing for the negative side. Not sure how to hook up those voltage meters.
Your 5 drivers to mains: just make sure you divy them up on separate timers. If you flipp 5 of them all at the same time youre going to blow your fuses. Maybe you can do 2 on the same timer, youll have to try.
ThanksI used 18 awg solid core to my QBs. Works a charm.
Im in europe so not AWG standard. Tbh we did ours with stranded and it worked a charm, but we had one wago burn on us. Yeah, i guess 18 ga is better. I was just talking about how to etcI was under the impression I needed 18 ga copper wire?
Right on buddy. ThanksIm in europe so not AWG standard. Tbh we did ours with stranded and it worked a charm, but we had one wago burn on us. Yeah, i guess 18 ga is better. I was just talking about how to etc
Also, good advice: ground your frame and dont get zapped if you have a short.Right on buddy. Thanks
Dude, i already answered that. Reread, and grab some 3 way wagos:Hey guys can someone answer me this, the driver output the positive wire I run goes to the positive or negative of my QB 96, then where on my other qb96, can someone take a second and close that loop for me.
If you try to go driver >qb >qb ; that would be serial connection and wont wont with the drivers you got. But would work with constant current drivers.I think you got most of the info. Thank you for reminding me, my God sorry for making you answer that twice.Dude, i already answered that. Reread, and grab some 3 way wagos:

Remember its i good idea to ground the heatsink and frame. It's already been a long day...thank you guys again. I got 4 of them up
