guys i must have misdirected you somewhere... its only one tent now!! with 4 lights! and 4 920mm trays! The tent is DR240 and thats why i was asking about the heat because its all in one tent! .. except mothers and clones. i wonder if basementlighting has those fans i shall have a look see at some point.. i just told the guy to hook me up the largest fans they do with was 8". Also could i plug a contactor into a timer for those that are not built in? and i was planning on plugging 4 into 1.

8" should do the job. If it were me though I would probably run 2xRVK150E2-A1 480m3h one at each side of the tent with matching filters. This way you have more than one exhaust. As long as both exhausts are coming out of the same wall of the tent with intakes on the opposite wall it should help to remove heat more effectively rather than pulling all to one area. This would be MY choice should I be in your situation. Contactors are available in varying sizes. If you opt for one without a built in timer you can plug ANY timer in the wall socket and the contactor has 2 standard plugs on it. One says MAINS and the other says TIMER. Plug your timer into the wall socket, plug the TIMER plug from the contactor into timer and the MAINS labelled plug from the contactor into the other wall socket. J

Ok sounds good except im not sure what the power consumption difference + ballast heat waste energy would be so thats the only thing thats got me thinking.. I think I will start with 1 8" exhaust and see how it goes. Oh i thought those two plugs were to split the power usage across both sockets!! haha nice one cheers for that! I was thinking of leaving the window open in the tent room and venting the excess off into another room or exhaust to window and negative pressure should suck air from around the flat i think? I would have thought fresh air from the window is good but then again I'm thinking it might be too cold out there also so thinking on that one too .. hmm any thoughts?

Keeping a window cracked open is ok to do but NOISE might be an issue. However with open windows comes another problem. PESTS. Its a good idea to have a PMS pest management strategy, before hand incase anything makes its way into your grow room. I'm not fully understanding what you are trying to say about the energy consumption?4x400w will use 1.6kwh of electric per hour. 2x1000w would use 2kwh of electric per hour. Digital ballasts are more efficient than magnetically. A mag 400w actually pulls around 450w and delivers around 375w to the lamp. A digital pulls around 420w and delivers around 390w to the lamp. Ok after all that planning and being on the brink of a decent start... it seems the flat was comprimised by other unavoidable obstacles such as crazy people..
I am relocating to a much larger place... but only really using a small little loft room in there to start out..

Its kinda like a small loft room, not very high.. I am around 5ft 8" and the tallest part of the room is a little higher than my head.. then theres an annyoing slope (being the roof) going down... I will have to measure up the room properly to get accurate readings. but its not very wide at all.. about 2m i would say. seems like i might have to look at those loft tents / grow qube thingys.

will update soon with pics and dimensions.

Ok so this is the new room... its has a nice little window which you can see in the final image.. the bed and other stuff can be easily removed.
I need to work out what kind of grow tent will fit in here, how many tents i can get in, and how many flood and drain tables & also what kind of cycles & yields to expect!
lots and lots of work to do!

New measurements:
(done with tape measure, and im a bit shaky so it might be 1 or 2 cm out!)

Height of room : 198cm (almost 2m)
Flat wall height on left side of picture: 121cm
Width of Floor / Total ceiling width: 146cm
Length of FLAT ceiling: 34 - 35cm (its a smooth curve all through/ hard to judge edge)
Useable length from door to end of room: 5m (500cm)

The measured length of the wall/ceiling slope slope is 140cm... im not sure why i measured that - maybe just in case!

I have been quiet, but I'm back! Will never give up!
Comments would be much appreciated! Hope I can finally get started, had enough setbacks!

I don't understand what you now want.

You've had all the information about how to setup.

Surely you can just apply that knowledge to your new situation.

We aren't going to give you all the same info again.
