2 Rooms +2 400 + 1 1000 + 1 light rail = many choices I need the pros input

The flower room is 10 x 10 x 6 ft . I just got the 1000 watt and i need figure a way to mount a diy air cool to a batwing on a light rail. when the flower room is fully loaded I was thinking 2 1000 watts on a light rail (moving 2 foot)with 6 400 watts around edges ( three on each side)Is this over kill ? I will get more lights when needed.
The veg room is 4 x 13 x 6. ( if i took the shelves out it would be 5 1/2 x 13 x 6)I was thinking 400 watt on a ligh rail with floros on side. I currently have only floros tubes and cfls in there.

I would like to here your input on any ideas .

I am now looking for a inline fan what size would be good i was thinking http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/itemdesc.asp?ic=AEFCPVL12&eq=&Tp=
or

Once i harvest the last three i will start the work.

My two cents: it is really really hard to effectively AC a bat wing. I have a 600 bat wing in the veg room. The other issue is you have a LOW ceiling and 1000w bulbs. WhIch means your going to have to cool the FUCK out of them if you want any room to grow your plants. 1 foot for the reflector, 2 feet+ for space below bulb, and 12-16" for your containers.. All of a sudden you ain't got any room for the plants.

My suggestion would be... Take the 1,000 and BW and veg with it. Easily veg 4.5' x 7' with that. Or throw it on the rail for more coverage.

For flower room... 2 rows of 3 600's in big and shallow AC reflectors. One 6" or 8" fan per row. You now are getting proper light on a 10' x 7.5' area. Maybe a little wider with one of the bigger hoods. And you'll have a foot or so on each side to actually walk in there.

My flower room set up like that. Two exhaust fan outlets would work better than one. I have one boosted inlet > y > 2 6" ducts through hoods> two fans> y > single outlet. Works well enough but the y's restrict flow pretty badly. But making another outlet means chiseling through my 90year old concrete foundation full of river rock.... Once was enough.

Bur again, cooling is going to be critical and with that set up your going to be able to put lights 12" above plants.

I would also SCROG to control height.

Hope this helps

Yeah im working on pricing to lift the house two bricks(I think thats 16 or 24 " ). I will put the 1000 watt in the veg room now . That sounds great cause the 1000 watt is HOTTER than i thought. I kinda wanted the outside lights lighter watts to grow taller plants with side lighting from the bigger 600's (Thanks to your tip)in the middle? good idea or not. I have 11 strains i will be working with White widow ,white rhino, super skunk (might not keep),kandy kush, grapefruit deisil, twilight , blue venom, big band, romulan, bc early blueberry, and a clone from a mystery bag seed with huge leafs indica dom that is pink WOW.

It just hit 78 in the veg room ????? i hope thats it!! i might be selling a new 1000 watter or making a air cooled hood for it

I would go with the 18"? Wall mounts, one on each end. Yeah the 1k bulbs get hot as fuck. The are great for big plants and growing trees but the 600's are more efficient and much less expensive.

You can pull heat frOm the bat wing, just mount a piece of flex duct to terminate near the bulb (as close as possible) and hook the other end to a 6" fan.

BTW. I have tried several different fans and the best performer is also the cheapest. They are the silver no frills ones on eBay. Quality bearings, metal blades, and they throw serious air. The run $100.

That is allot of strains you have. Hopefully your testing and finding the best strain. The rhino may be a good one. Really compact plant but rather stubborn to get to branch. Top that fucker early. It often works best for commercial to find a great strain, just run it and perfect what it wants.

Yeah that would work if your on a budget. I'm a big fan of quality gear, it typically operates better and has a higher resale value. But it is more expensive upfront. Your going to want a better bulb, that much I can assure you.

Ushio, digilux, and apparently hortilux (rip off) has fixed their digital comparability problem.

Fuck the kits, they are all made in china bullshit. I would get a dual 600 dimmable lumatek ballasts and a sunlight supply hoods. I really like the super sun II hoods, they tested really really well but they don't throw a very wide pattern.

In all honesty, I don't know much about the china shit ballasts but for $20 you can get a quality lumatek, galaxy or quantum. Based on your gear selections, I would hazard a guess that you haven't put much thought into wiring. Your going to want to run 220 to run 6 lights. 30 amp breaker, 12 gauge wire. That will safely drive around 5k watts at 220 volts.

I just wired 6 outlets to 3 15 amp breakers . I am moving to 240 for obvious reasons . Yes on a budget and i wont be buying all the lights yet. I will get 2 of the fans you recommended 1 for veg other for flower.I picked the lights 600 watt Quantum Digital Dimmable Ballast 240 ,600 Hortilux Eye Super HPS Bulb ,C.A.P LumenAire 6" or 8"Air-Cooled Reflector (any help ). I will start with one or two 600 watters . I can get plugs for my 1000 to go 240.

Sounds sweet dude. Just as an FYI, since your wiring the outlets yourself, you don't need to get different plugs. The only different thing about the 220 plugs is the prong layout. It's different so some housewife doesn't accodenly plug her vibrator into a 220 outlet and burn her clit off. So just use regular outlets and plugs and mark the outlets with marker.

Besides, the 220 outlets are stupid expensive.

You said 30 amp ( will 2 15 amps work)? I will have my boss get in tomorrow. You have been much help . The veg room is 86 it was 72 to 78. Do i remove it? or wait tell the fans?

Maybe it's just early, but I cam even remember where we are at at this point. You need to post some pictures or something. Oscillating fans will do nothing to help temperatures and your temps are way too high

I put a 400 watt in the veg room . Now i have a 1000 watt and a 400 watt in the flower room. I pluged in the portable ac (flower room)the temps are great 75 to 80 in the veg and 75ish in the flower . I am looking to buy 2 8" valuline 99$ each http://www.growsmarthydroponics.com/view_cart.asp . I am also buying http://www.monstergardens.com/grow-lighting/complete-lighting-packages/600-watt.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage-vmshopgreen.tpl&product_id=394&category_id=157 . I will go order now.
