2 seriously dumb questions.

I always got serious (and dumb) questions for you guys. Here it goes:
I have 2 plants I had growing at marvelous pace. From seeds to 2~5 inches was quick as hell. Their leaves dark green, no burns (if they get burnt from the bulb I clip a little off). <-- Previous growth habit (Good.)
They seem to be seriously stunted (NOW), and I know the reason why but am more or less double checking or seeing if I'm wrong.
I used this awesome collection of stuff in my backyard. Its Clay / Ground Leaves / Ground Acorn / Ground Organic Stuff. If done properly, it will not become a fucking solid rock. I officially transplant my babies, and boom I put them into solid rock pretty much. The dirt is making almost cement, just wondering if the plants will survive through this.
One of them has been affected for 2 weeks now. Its bottom leaves I got wet / dirt, they crisped up and I had to remove them. He has 4x Fan leaves (2 sets), tiny little things stragly things with still darkish green coloring, no sign of deficiency yet thankfully. The second one (plant) which was much larger (thicker stock, thicker leaves, lush green) I had in the same mixture of mainly Ground leaves / Acorns / tree / etc. and it loved it. Then I transplanted it and mainly used regular solid dirt / clay. It is also is a cemment like fortress. Let me know if they will grow please, and what I can do to speed it up.

Second question is, I had my plants go for 3~4 weeks veg, just through them on 12 / 12, and no signs of budding yet though. I threw them on 12/12 literally a week and a day ago. Should they have shown signs? Am I letting light / sun get in my grow box (I doubt its this), etc.?
Thank you everyone for your time.

Well for the Acorns.I do know that Acorns have to be boiled to leach out a form of acid or alkaline substances (if memory serves me) before human ingestion.I would stick to table scraps of what I eat ground up for my plants than anything exotic (except from proper compost pile) out of my back yard.

If you clip burnt leaves I suggest you leave some brown on,and not to clip from the green or yellow side.

I am not a soil grower, but I know plants need a well draining aerated soil.Compacted soil spells trouble for mj,and not to mention PH being out of whack from out of balance Organic material.

Thanks for your time and tips, any body know about if my plants will grow in some hard dirt. They were in pretty good soil, roots thriving. Now I'm not sure.

Live? Maybe. Thrive? Not in that.

Cannabis roots like most roots need oxygen. This means well aerated medium whether its dirt, water, or anything inbetween. "Hard" dirt is unlikely to have much. I would suggest Foxfarms Happy Frog and or Ocean forest mixed heavily with perlite. If you dont want to buy good'dirt at least break that clay/soil up good and mix in perlite...a lot.

The mix you mention them being in (acorns, leaf, ect) does not sound proper. I would imagine it being very "hot" and the pH being out of whack.

Younger seedling plants might take a week or two longer to show flowers under 12/12. Dont freak out yet.

Dalek had a good catch on the boiling of the acorns, I don't think that is such a good idea either.
As far as the clay, I have the infamous Georgia clay, and let me tell you, it aint good for growing much!
I have tried regular plants and veggies, even mixed with a few yards of topsoil, the garden was only good for a couple months of veggies.

Clay sucks...in Illinois I had to dig that shit out and add decent dirt that drains to grow good healthy plants...lose the clay and acorns..if you are that broke ust buy soe perlite and mix in the dirt...but why not just spend 20$ and get 2 cubic feet of good soil and have no problems.
