i switched from 12 on 12 off lighting to 24 hour lighting during the veg growth stage..growth has slowed quite a bit. when will the supposed growth increase take effect? and my second question is why some of them smell during the veg growth stage and some dont???

From seed, you go to veg with either 24/0 veg or an 18/6 veg. Since root growth is a big priority and roots grow during darkness, 18/6 is preferred.

At some time during veg when "you decide" to flower, you go to 12/12.

Hence, it's germination to veg to flower.
Imo, you might have done it backward?

Why did you start at 12/12 flowering and then go to 24/0 veg?
Just curious.

That's probably your problem coupled with your lighting setup which is???

From my understanding the plant probubly got accustomed to the long dark hours got into the photoperiod and now you have reversed the laws of nature on it so its growth has probubly halted bc it was shocked into a different state with the shorter nights. hense the 1st state of life, veg growth.

Get better lights. Also a good idea would be to check out RIUs grow FAQ. You keep going in this direction, and you'll get some killer hermies lol.

1st get some better lights, if not more of what you have already. You might also move them closer to the plants. I would also cut back to an 18/6 light cycle and be sure they get complete darkness. Your plants are in shock and need to chill out.. Goodluck

get at least 26W fluorescents. 65W would be even better. Leave your lights on 24/7. Get them close to your plants. They may take a while to recover from the light shift whammy you threw at them.
