2 small lights or 1 big one

If I was to get 2 smaller leds instead of 1 big led which equal the same amount of wattage would I be giving up light penetration for light distribution ??????
 
If $ isn't an issue, I'd probably want this.

I love my HLG stuff though. 2 HLG 320's would be nice too, but I really like the spread on the ChilLed.

Do you mean the 320? Is it a real HLG? Like the HLG 300L?

If you already have this one, then I'd just buy another. That would work too.

For the money, ease of buying, and for a 4 x 4 area Id look into the HLG 650r.

If not that one, the Gavita 1700e
