2 week olds seem discolored

Hello, I have 2 different strains about 2 weeks old in my grow space. The first strain is double grape and the second is creme de la chem by Mephisto. Attached are some pictures of the double grape and the creme de la chem.

both strains have the same soil (dakine420). I noticed the discoloration in the double grape two days ago and gave them 15ml of Grow Big by fox farms and 15ml of Micro-Nutes. The soils been wet and I’m going to give them a days break from watering to help dry out the medium. Does this look like over watering stress or something else? The last pic is my creme de la chem that looks pretty normal.

They look under fed to me.. Do you realize that Dakine 420 is a coco mix not really soil?
Hopefully a coco grower will help you out..

Yes I’m aware it’s a coco coir soil mix. I used fox farms 1 grow then dakine420 the next. This plant attached was grown with dakine

. I fed them 3 days ago but they didn’t improve. I’ve been very delicate and the creme de la chem looks good, just the two double grapes look like they’re losing color. My last grow that was successful was blueberry auto, I didn’t feed it much and I used dakine.

I really don’t want to feed it more if that’s not the issue because you can’t really take back nutes. But, I’ll give one of them some extra Grow Big and seeif she improves compared to the Other.

This is how they look today. Ones starting to curl. The extra nutes didn’t seem to help and neither did letting the coco dry up 1 day. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

These three healthy ones are a different strain but the same age, same medium, same watering, same tent, same breeder, same distributor, and their lux is pretty close to the same too.

Plants don’t respond to changes over nite
Are you expecting it to turn dark green ?
If you want that put it under a blurple

Most likely overwatered and the wrong ph zone and maybe a nutrient imbalance. could be other things too.

Being a notorious overwaterer here, you generally cannot overwater coco if it's aerated well - can water every day, in fact if your environment is stable- but overwatering will make problems worse if there's a nutrient imbalance, if that sense.

Coco robs your nutrient mix of Ca and Mg. Also, it is rich in Potassium, so any soil/hydro product with high K will lock out the uptake of Ca.

I advise let the pots lighten up a little bit, then follow up with a higher proportion of calcium, mg, and a dash of Iron - minimal K your next feeding. Keep the PH between 5.8-6.2.

The pics looks like a Ca deficiency.

Ca is a devil to diagnose bc it overlaps the symptoms of other deficiencies, and can even trigger other def's, too.

Early on, I once bough a GH hard water formula without thinking too much about it, and had the worst grow ever, lol. Rotting roots, loads of problems.

Calcium is every bit as essential as N - and should be fed at the same strength as N in coco, every feeding.

They’re in 5 gallon fabric pots and when I water there’s tiny bubbles so I know I didn’t drown them. They have no added nutes except some NPK, so I’ll definitely try cal - Mag. I don’t expect change over night but I do expect the problem to stop progressing. There’s hues of yellow showing on the edges now.
I think some cal mag is what I need, they’re the same soil mix and ph as my 3 healthy ones. Maybe Double Grape has a higher demand for nutes or something.

These are the micro nutes I introduced yesterday and today. Hopefully there will be improvement showing soon. I can’t get the cal mag until Wednesday.

Coco is hydro, I water every 4 to 6 hours with 10% run off. Don't let them ever dry out or u will run into problems later. Looks like calcium def to me

I dug down a bit and the coco was dry about 8 inches down, I don’t think over watering was the issue. I’ve been keeping the area, where the root ball would be, moist. Their new growths look good but the bottom leaves are curling a bit. I’ll give them some more time for the micro nutes to do their thing. I’m thinking this strain just wants more food than my others.

My conclusion is that they were under fed and overwatered. I’m going to let it dry around the base of the plant but I won’t let my coco completely dry out. There’s algae on my perlite which indicates over watering. I watered less and fed more to my 3 rd double grape (who’s a week behind) and she looks a lot happier than they did at her age.

I was watering 2 cups of water in a 5 liter pot per 24 hours. I think I watered more than the seedlings could drink. I’m still getting used to watering coco coir, I used fox farms and indicanja SOIL my past few grows.

I’m going to feed them some cal-mag tomorrow and I’ll post pictures if they make a recovery beyond what’s attached to this post

I fed them some cal-mag in addition to the micro nutes 3 days ago. The new growths look big and happy. One more day of letting it dry and they should be back to normal schedule. I fed the 3rd one 1/4th the recommended dose of cal-mag and she hasn’t shown any signs of stress yet. She’s one week behind the rest.
