well i am 2 weeks into flowering and the buds seem to be coming along nicely all new growth looks good as far as i can tell but the lower fan leaves and older 3 fringered leaves are yellowing and have brown spots .. going through the deficiency thread i think i may have narrowed it down to mag or potassium...

i have only fed this plant 3 times in its entire life whcih i did the first feeding at 1/2 week of flowering with half teaspoon of earth juice grow(because it was already yellowing a bit i figured the nitrogen might help it since i had just started flowering) earth juice catalyst which is 3-1-1(i did another half teaspoon, earth juice micronutes(another half teaspoon). all mixed to 1 gallon of water which i fed the plant the entire gallon of water (like i normally do) which gives me about 1/4 gallon of run off.. second feeding was 1 teaspoon of earth juice grow, 1 teaspoon of earth juice bloom, 1 teaspoon of earth juice meta-k, and 1 teaspoon of earth juice catalyst. mixed to 1 gallon of water which i fed the plant the entire gallon of water again getting about 1/4 gallon of run off.. then i was told feeding them 1 gallon at a time is too much so the next feeding i fed only half gallon but i upped the dosage of the nutes to 1 table spoon of earth juice grow, 1 tablespoon of earth juice bloom, 1 teaspoon of earth juice catalyst and 1 teaspoon of earth juice meta-k... i only fed half gallon and got about 10% run off... obviously i upped the nutes quite a bit from the first feeding... btw i have not watered with plain water since ive been feeding for about 1 1/2 weeks and ive only watered 3 times all with nutes..

yet i am still having the bigger fan leaves yellowing with small brown spots and the older 3 fingered leaves are doing the same thing, turning light yellow with brown spots.. once they are completely yellow i remove them from the plant..

heres some pics that are a few days old maybe 2 not much has changed other than i removed one of the bigger fan leaves after it had yellowed with brown spots.. and the leaf that was tied down right next to it started doing the same thing... humidity is always around 20% and only raises slightly after watering.. temps reach max 91ºF right before lights out(because i have to turn a fan off or else it gets to cold at night.) temps at night have dropped to as low as 56ºF (when i have forgotten to turn the fan off) but usually stay around 61ºF at night..

hmm well heres the pics

first 3 were just taken from leaves i removed just now... i was wondering... could it be lack of light causing this? i am only using 250w hps and 2 26w cfls.. i am still assuming its from a deficiency of some sort

i have only fed this plant 3 times in its entire life whcih i did the first feeding at 1/2 week of flowering with half teaspoon of
earth juice
grow(because it was already yellowing a bit i figured the nitrogen might help it since i had just started flowering)
earth juice
catalyst which is 3-1-1(i did another half teaspoon,
earth juice
micronutes(another half teaspoon). all mixed to 1 gallon of water which i fed the plant the entire gallon of water (like i normally do) which gives me about 1/4 gallon of run off.. second feeding was 1 teaspoon of
earth juice
grow, 1 teaspoon of earth juice bloom, 1 teaspoon of
earth juice
meta-k, and 1 teaspoon of
earth juice
catalyst. mixed to 1 gallon of water which i fed the plant the entire gallon of water again getting about 1/4 gallon of run off.. then i was told feeding them 1 gallon at a time is too much so the next feeding i fed only half gallon but i upped the dosage of the nutes to 1 table spoon of earth juice grow, 1 tablespoon of earth juice bloom, 1 teaspoon of earth juice catalyst and 1 teaspoon of
earth juice

Bro thats a hell of a lot of fuckin earth juice, sounds like a salesman got ya. It has multiple deficiencies, i would give standard hydro nutes a go (every watering) and it should improve a lot, and put the 'earth juice' in the trash.

little lean on nutes is not a bad thing, i usually use some every other watering or once per 3 watering's even. i quit all feeding 2-3 weeks before cropping. You will notice the leaves at bottom turning colors, just like autumn.. when you went 12 hours, you told the plants it was autumn and they are just responding accordingly. Plants look good, leaves will fall a bit, lots of people actually push that part of the process along and start striping the leaves but that is a whole diff story. good luck.

i have the whole earth juice line up and no salesmen got me cause i did not buy the system.. it was given to me.. and i was told it is extremely mild and nearly impossible to burn plants with and i like the fact that its organic and has no residual salt build up etc.. i know its very mild because it seems like no matter how much i give it it wont burn the plant. just wondering if i should give it more of say the micro nutes or more of the meta-k or what.. i know it has a deficiency which is why im trying to narrow down which nutes i should UP and which nutes i should slow down on. i am glad that you think they look good tiger it is my first bag seed grow very fun i must say...

another quick question... does anyone have any idea whether this plant looks indica-sative or a cross between the two? the leaves started out fat but seem to be fairly skinny now

why should i put it in the trash btw? i've heard and read lots of good things about it the only bad thing ive heard about it, is that it is extremely mild..

Hey buddy.
Those spots on the bottom of the leaves that are in the picture are stupid spider mites. You need to take action asap. Get prefferably mycotorol O or neem oil which isnt as effective and get it on the tops and the bottoms and the surface of the soil ASAP. these little things will kill your plants and destroy them completly. Again although more expensive mycotorol O will get rid of any and all living pests in your garden and its organic and a good thing to have around. I use it whenever needed. I will write back again after looking at the pics further

they look a tad overwatered too, you can tell when the tissue on the leaves raise around the veins. hard to tell by pictures but it looks that way, Also what is your temp in there? it could be hot or not enough velalation as well

Is it really spider mites? I haven't seen anything move or found any webs or anything that looks like bugs even under 60-100x magnification and I thought spider mites caused white spots?

I would not worrie about the bottom leaves yellowing up,the bottom leaves are the first to come and first to go all looks good.Far too much can be done at this point to cause more damage than good, carry on doing what you are doing all is good.................................tyke

do we really think is phosphorus def? if so what should i do to correct the problem? should i flush then refeed with more phosphorus? or should i just just keep doing what im doing?... shes almost ready to chop down i'd say 2-3 more weeks

over watering /soggy medium adding h202 will slove that problem YES its safe for organics (loss of 1% organic matter far outways the added growth from extra o2)but at rec doses 18% 5ml/gal get some 3%hydrogen peroxide mix 30ml/gal too fix soggy soil tehn ur under fed but this is hard call because the lack of o2 is slowing down nute absorbtion as well as messing with ur ph/ec plants can not feed proberly leading to ur NPK and micro deffs

well this plant started out with 2 plants per pot... which means 2 root system.. one was a male so i chopped him at the base of his stalk and left all the rest in the pot... so im sure thats not helping the situation... but to be honest i do not let the soil get/stay soggy... i water it then let it try for a few days and usually when i go to water again the soil is dry all the way to the bottom RH is only about 20-25% so everything drys out pretty quickly ... i honestly dont think soggy soil or over watering is my problem

y do ppl leave out huge details if ur medium is dry all way to bottem thats bad fine hairs on ur roots will be damaged below 20% moisture under watering leading to ec spikes causeing lockout at root zone guy ur fixed ur own problem lol
