2 weeks old… leaves turning brown?

Hi i have a plant thats only 2 weeks old and the tips are going brown and dying.

im doing hydroponic, and have not used any nutrients yet, just pure water. With that being said it is also tap water. Can plants be affected by PH even when not using any nutes? Ive been growing for quite a few years on and off, but have never had this problem so early on. My lights are atleast 3-4 feet above the buckets so i doubt its being burnt by the light.

Feed the poor thing. Nutrients should always be available in hydro........never plain water.

Ive done it like this for years with no issues, i never introduce nutrients until i see roots coming from the bottom of the net pot, it has always worked well for me so i think my problem is stemming from somewhere else. Oh yea and btw cannabis starter leaves will give it all the nutrients it needs for the first 2 weeks, i also use root riot cubes

I just had(have) a very similar seedling.
Bleached yellow while her sister, right beside her was fine.
Greatly reduced the light and she started to green up in a couple of days.
