I am currently using 2 x1000 w hps with a 600w hps inbetween. o o o With the canopy being 3mtrs X2.5 mtrs i was thinking about using a motorized light rail to get better coveridge all the way to the edge of the canopy.Or another idea is to run 4 x 600w hps : : wich will give me better coveridge but then i'm down 200w overall. Will i still get the nice size buds that a 1000w produce if i use the 4 x 600w as i do not want to decrease my yield. Any thaughts or ideas welcome.

yeah id like to see answer to this too!

atm am running 6x 600watt lights in a 3metre by 2metre tent an am really struggling to keep temps down.

4 600s on rails close to the plants would be fun :-P

guy at the shop told me that a 2ft rail is best.... I never tested this though, but it seemed like he should know being his job i guess...

I think 4x600s would be more efficient and provide more uniform coverage of your canopy. The 200 Watts you're losing is easily compensated for w/ the overflow from a fourth light.
And you shouldn't expect to lose any yield at all.
