Right so with all the debate raging regarding LED panels I figured I should do a journal.

Strains:

Nirvana bubblicious and super skunk clones taken from two mothers of each.

Lights:

2 x 500w Blackstar UV panels
2 x 54w T5 HO 6500k (Helps keep the temps where I like em)

Media:

Mothers - FFOF
Flowering- COCO Coir

Nutes:

Foxfarm full lineup minus the kangaroots, sledgehammer, and microbrew. Plus 10ml of GH Cal/Mag per gallon. Rez PH 5.6-6.0

Clones were rooted in a homemade bubblecloner and transplanted directly to 3 gallon pot with coco. Feeding takes places via 1gph drippers from a 15gallon rez.

Plants have been vegging in the flower tent for two weeks now. Growth seems to be slow and I am concerned. smaller of the plants are showing some yellowing on the leaves. New growth on all plants seems to be very light green. I thought this was a N issues and so I went from following the foxfarm schedule at 50% to 100% this was a mistake as I did not have a EC meter at the time and was hand measuring. The larger plants now are showing what I believe to be nute burn. I bought a EC meter and have discovered that my water is EC 0.4 from the tap. At the time the burn ocured the EC in the rez was 1.8 PH 6.0. Runoff was EC 2.2 PH 6.0. I reduced the EC level of the rez to EC 1.4. I hope this helps.

This is my first grow and any and all comments are welcome!

When u use coco it's very important to keep the medium moist at all times you can also feed every time you water. Don't overwater just make sure it's not dry like soil can get before you water again.

My temps never reach over 80 so drying out is not an issue yet with them as small as they are. I've been watering every 3 or 4 days. Trying to get some roots going. Since Im using a drip system I feed each watering. I allow 10-15% drain to waste however to help prevent salt buildup. I will also be flushing by drenching with straight water every 2-3 weeks. Thanks for the advice!

As a follow up regarding the nute burn. I believe the issue is nute fallout in my rez causing me to feed at a much higher PPM then intended. I will get a small pump to keep things stired tomorrow. I thought the air stones I had would be enough. . . . wrong.

So I felt like I was still battling a mag def and that a good flush was still in order. Trying to flush with the drippers is a joke and trying to get in the tent the way I have it setup to hand flush was just as much a joke. I damn near pulled a back muscle. I decided to make a water wand that I could attach directly to my pump and flush with straight ph'ed water and 15 ml cal-mag/gal. The water wans worked AMAZING. Took the time required for flushing way way down. Hopefully I start to see better growth rates. P6090001.jpgP6090008.jpgP6090009.jpg

Thanks whodat! Nifty is damn right, I scrapped the drippers and will be using the wand from now on. I noticed I already had a few drippers that looked to be flowing slow and on there way to clogging. Plus this way I can water individually which is nice when some of my gals are a bit further along than others. Franjan, Thanks for the advice I will post a link in the thread for sure!

So its looking like feed @ 1.2 - water - water is what these gas like with a bi weekly flush. Ive seen a big turn around in some of the girls but others seem like they are still stunted from the burn. Its really kinda odd because I see roots poking out of the bottoms of the 3 gallon containers so I know they have a healthy root system....cant figure out why they wont bounce back. Ohh well, hopefully when I flip the switch I will see a growth explosion. Looking to flip next week.

Thanks for the rep whodat! Yeah the screen is starting to fill in but I'm totally confused about why some of these ladies have nice white roots popping out of the 3 gallon containers but refuse to grow! Ive flushed, I've moved the lights, played with the temp, and the Ph. You have any ideas? Could the just be stunted due to the burn? If so will they still flower? The healthy root system is whats throwing me off though.....
