Certainly not all indicas have trouble sprouting in FFOF, Black Domina shoots up like crazy, as does Nirvana Afgan. Have not gotten any of my WWxGF (actually GFxWW) to grow - they all died or stalled and died after a few weeks. I put some more into a 50/50 mix of peat and FFOF and they have just come up. I post how they do.

If you added lime to the FFOF you are probably fine - just don't let the pH creep up because you won't be able to get it down. If you always use water with pH around 6 - 6.3 you will be fine. IMO you don't need the lime because it's already in the mix in the form of calcium from sea shells.
