Hey ray, the programs are pretty easy once you get used to them. I know what you mean though, I was a little confused at first myself. You can just forget the drain to waste for your needs. That is just letting the nutes run off and not save them. You want the recirculate programs. The difference between the simple and expert is just how many different nutes you use. I go by the expert one (not because I'm an expert) Just because I liked some of the stuff better. The ones I've used are.

You mix your nutes depending on what stage you are in and how fast you want them to grow. We can go over it more when you are using them. You can get by without meters but when you have a problem it can be very hard to fix because you don't know what might be wrong or better yet at least know what is right. If you know what I mean. A ph meter whould be the fist one I would get. Just look for a cheap one or look on ebay, that's where I got mine. But for know you should at least have something to test when you mix nutes. GH makes a liquid tester that is pretty good. Way better than test strips and pretty easy to see if you are at least in range. I would not do hydro without at least something. Lots of times when I mix and ph it I don't check again for 5-7 days. I found this meter on ebay to check ppm. Seems to work good and was very cheap. I'm glad I fould it because I was starting to have a problem and without it I would not have known it was a ppm problem. I was folowing the program (kinda) and my ppm was way to high. Never had the problem in veg, They were looking great. It was when I went up to the bloom mix that it started. I haven't checked the grow mixes with the meter since I have'nt done any lately, but will be.

They got to big and I had to put up my 400 hps and make more room to grow up. I was afraid the 400watt would be to hot without an exaust so I did'nt have it up. So I ended up with about 75 watt or about 12,000 lumens per sq ft But now I run both, I ran out of room again. In the pics it is the same fixture just with more bulbs. The others are with the hps, one in the box and one in the closet kinda like I have it now. It's not only how much total watts you have but what watt bulbs you use. The usable light will travel further with a higher watt bulb and get lower into the plant. You could do better with one larger bulb than several smaller ones. Oh ya, and good reflectors also help a lot. It gets more of the light reflected back down to the plant and they will grow better buds. Hint, hint.

2 0f them are strait up regular reflectors now, just the one doesnt have one because the plant is tall it needs the light off the top as well

You could also hang them vertically between the plants maybe. It would get the light to more of the plant. Just a thought.

thanks hash im going to buy the ppm meter...i already have the ph digital meter and i though...by the way i got some clones from my friend and put into my homemade clone machine DWC style...now im wondering...after they develop roots ...how can i transfer the plants to RW to put in my ebb/flow system....thanks

They can last a long time, stay green and not root. But as long as they are alive there is a chance. Most times when they start to turn yellow, say after the first week or so. That means they are starting to root. If they don't start to turn they are not starting to root. At least from my experience.

sweet all the bottom leaves are turning yellow. and since there like 1 inch cubes i should mist erday right? and the girls are doing fucking awesome. one strain will be done alot sooner then the other too which is good then i can fit more plants in there.

Hey ray, sounds good man. I wish I had found that meter sooner. I was waiting to save some more money but came across that one a couple weeks ago. And was just in time because I was starting to have a problem. I was following what the program said but the mix was way to strong. I'm talking about 2400 ppm!! that's sky high. The plants will make it no problem, Just messed up some leaves. I'm glad you have the ph meter, I think that will help alot. I also ph my soil nutes before I give it to them. In your cloner do you have the bottom of the stalks in the water? If you do you should try to keep the water level below the stalks. How about a pic of it? I haven't read to much about ebb and flow but I don't think I would put them in rockwool. I would use some other medium. I'm thinking of trying it myself and we can get back to that when the time comes. In the mean time check out what else would be good and let me know what you decide to try and why you chose it. I'll look too. With the way I set up mine I can change it to drip or ebb and flow very easy. Just have not decided.

Do you have some kind of cover om them to keep the humidity up? I have a cover on mine but still mist them sometimes.

ohh snaps been busy as usual only 5 clones made it lol out of 9 so not to bad, the girls are doing great pics tomorrow. been busy as fuck lately

Hey dude, just working on the grow as always. Getting ready to put another system together. This time with 3 buckets. then I will have 5. then make more as I need them. No more soil execpt for a mother. Still waiting for my 2 in soil to finish and working on more clones to fill my flower area. I have 7 in there now. All looking good. What have you been up to?

ok man now let's go into details.
i got 3 clones from my friend, to run some tests in my ebb/flow system.

Nutrients: how do you mix you nutes and how much? i have HG and i was thinking to use micro and bloom since the both give the best balance of nutrients.
Reservoir...i put everything together last night and put some GH nutes, and ph 5.8...this morning i notice the ph was 7s...why this happened? and what should i do in this case to put the ph down again?
im flooding my tables 3 times of 15 min/ day.... also i got my TDS meter i was wondering how to use! what the numbers you use to grow and flowering stage...also i don't understand how you put control the PPM , like what about if you have the ppm to high, how do you put back dow and vice versa....
well i now its lots of question, but like i told you work/school both full times, i wrote all my questions down to send you this weekend ....thanks bro .....:clap:

Looks great dude. I'm in a hurry right now but will be back on tonight. Just a quick post to say howdy. Just a quick note also, looks like a little to much condensation in your cloner maybe. I've seen that if there is that much you should vent it a little more.
