I would say go with both, the cfl for veg, and the hps for flower. Unless your on a tight budget and only want one light, I would say the hps is better pound for pound. Just my opinion.
Yah it's like never having starbucks, and liking coffee. Then you get the "good" fix and you feel good. The plants seem to enjoy the sun as much as I enjoy caffeine.
