2000w Custom CFL Flowering Light

Sorry for the delayed update. Here are some pics of the CFL grow, as promised. Tomorrow will mark week 5 of flowering. I made a huge mistake/accident last week when I misted(with water), and forgot to let my plant dry before throwing it back under the lights.... Moral of the story, no dabs before spraying. Especially if it has been a while since you touched oil. So shameful! :? Long story short, I burned the pistils that were all doing SO WELL. I had a slowed period of growth after the stress, but a lot of new 'hairs' are shooting up all over the buds, and as you can see, even the smaller 'popcorny' buds seem to be filling out. This is a lesson re-learned, I suppose.

On a lighter note, The buds are getting incredibly resinous with no amber or creamy trichromes yet. The smell is heavy and sweet with undertones of fruit.
I have used minimal thinning and training techniques. I prefer to keep my daytime temp in the FL rooms at 72 or less with a relative humidity of somewhere between 40-50%.

Photos were taken on a Canon t2i Rebel DSLR.

Thanks,
-KDB

It was a one plant Jerry Berry SCROG. I chopped it after a full 2 week flush, never used any pesticide, and used only organic nutrients. The taste is unlike other strains I've had. It's extremely smooth with a strong musky/fruit smell. Tasty. Due to my mistakes, the plant yielded just under a qp fully cured. Fairly small yield, but the nugs were fat and tight so I can't complain. I can post done pics if you want to see what I came up with.. Thanks for checking out my thread :leaf:

I like the DIY aspect of what you've been doing.

However the whole way through this you were talking about as good if not better yields with cfl than hps???

A QP is like 4oz correct?

I fucked up running some cheese while trying to prove 1g/w was doable under 400w with 4 plants. I harvested 439g. 1.09g/w.

Wasn't the point of this thread to show you can achievè more?

What lighting rig did you use with the one plant?

Surely not the 2000w cfl setup?

If so it must have cost you more to run than the smoke value you made?

Not trying to be a dick, but if you set out to prove something at least prove it.

I just got 11.5 oz dry from a 600w HPS Apollo bulb and ballast. That was a weaker harvest from that one light because I used 3 gallons pots and experimented with growing in bark mulch.

I easily pull a pound off that one 600w HPS, generic Apollo brand. That is .74 grams per watt. I've never been able to get those results with CFL or seen anyone else pull it off.

I should be able to get 1 gram a watt with the 600w HPS, but haven't done that yet. I am well on my way, though. I might pull of the gram a w with my new 1000w Gavita.
