I am running the ro still filter now, but will be just using a chlorine filter after this run. I was at 850 today with the base nutes, My ppms were at 15 before adding the silicate. I didn't check after the silcate was added before the base nutes, I will have to do that next time to see if it is increasing my ppms. I like to stay under 800 in base nutes, but this is the highest I will feed the a/b. I wil maintain the 10 ml for two weeks and then start backing off. I can get you a EC reading next time if that helps. I usually don't note the EC since I follow the ppm's, but will next time I mix my res for ya.

Unless you know the converting factor, EC would be more helpful, as it is universal.
 
damn i wish i could find something close to your your pk i could get from a seedbank looks hella dank.

I`m not fortunate enough to get clones in my area..

I know I am very fortunate to have so many choices for clones up here in Nor Cal. I have people throwing clones at me right and left to get the pk's. I have given dozens of clones way now and it is a hit around here right now. I have some some 'The Black' , 'blueberry cherry' 'Green Crack' and a couple others comming my way soon. So I will get to experiment with different strains. I am really thinking of going to 4 - 3x3 trays under 4 600's instead of the 1000k's so I can run different strains in each.
 
sooo im dumb. lol ive been waiting for new posts on ur thread here but been following it on the farm page as well. i never scribed to this journal even tho i was #7 poster when u openned it lol. shows u how faded and busy ive been doin my setup. i got to skim thru everything and get up to speed. diggin the new specs for ur flower nd veg rooms. good lookin cloning zone too. im checkin out in detail ur scrog like we discussed and i see wat ure sayin now between ur grow and the other thread u sent me. when u can would u show the underside of the canopy. kinda wanna see how things worked out with ur FIM. but other then that shit is lookin great and stoekd to see this new room in action! -scribed for reals this time lol

Well welcome to the party my friend. It's not like you have been busy or anything, wtf. lol If you can grow the numbers I would just do the SOG, but either way you will be trimming the bottoms. I don't have a recent pic of under the screen, but here is one from the last round.

I got bc bud depot purps

claims it is an ibl Mendocino county purps but im only in week 5 and i dont see any purpling yet but they look pretty solid.

i strengthen up the branches with a couple good pinches i got severe height issues since i`m in a growlab tent.



mine looks more sativa dom. tho`

working wit just one kw & my canopy is not far from the reflector but it is cold to the touch since i`m using a vortex 8 to cool it.

if i could go back i would of just bought 2-600`s instead as i work with a diverse variety and i can`t control it..

Don't sweat the purple not showing yet. The pruple kush doesn't show until the last couple of weeks.
 
have u tried the purple maxxx product i mentind raider? or anyone else. all ive been told is it feeds ur shit and makes it turn purple but im wondering if it just a fake out thing like food coloring? wat if u did food coloring in the water like roses? haha jw its not a serious thing just curious wat peeps think

Im going to be doing a side by side test on my Purple Diesel with that stuff. I'm pretty sure its just kelp extract, like the other Humbolt products. I used their Snowstorm Ultra on the last batch, so this time i'll be able to tell how much more purple the Purple Maxx gives over their other products.

I haven't tried it. I figure they turn pretty purple on their own, so haven't needed any thing extra. I mean even the large fans turn solid purple. I like the way there is still a little green mixed in on the buds. But if you do, I will be watching to see the results. I have also heard of curing in grape jelly jars to enhance the smell, but IMHO, if you just grow them with the optimal envirement all the natural tendencies are much better than the short cuts and enhancements. Having siad that, if you are vending to dipsensary and the patients gravitate to the most purple buds then I would be searching for some type of color enhancement too.

ya thats the issue is patients arent growers and im sure most arent conessour (spl?) smokers and dont know the diff with most shit. ive spent hours at diff collectives and listen in on convos and usually its "i want the dankest kush etc" or they pick first off appearance then aroma. no one ever really chooses of the flavor and high unless theyve smoked that same strain before. even the same strain by diff vendors have discrepencies. so its never truely the same shit anyways. but im gonna check into the purple maxxx a lil more and see wats up. kinda diggin the strawberry kush too now. i hate this shit too many choices and research haha. truely a never ending hobby
 
hey raider! still on board just busy doing spring stuff! as i get closer and closer to the beginning of may, im pricing out everything to begin my setup. looks like it is going to be a closet grow... i was hoping for a garage but were restoring some cars and i would HATE to not have the doors open. do u, or anyone else for that matter, have any good ideas for temp and humidity contrl in a closet? or possibly a tent in a closet? all help is HUGELY appriciated!

god damn that update on page 16 (i think) looks amazing. i had a question about those smartpots or airpots or whatever theyre called. are you getting any root spiraling down on the bottem? you wouldnt happen to have any pics of some roots from past grows do you? man i would love to see what your rootball looks like at harvest! keep up the good work raider! still following!

Thanks NorCal. If you get the details on your closet/tent grow I will help as much as I can. Are you using a air cooled reflector? What are the temps in the summer where your at? What size is the room etc.?
I use smart pots and they actually let the roots self prune. I don't have nay pics of the roots, I always say I am going to get some, but I am usually beat after trimming, cleaing and sanitizing equipment and transfering plants. I will try and get some next time. They do not circle the smart pots though. They are branched out into thousands of white roots. Basically the roots grow thougt the smart pots and the ends die when they break through. This causes the roots to branch out instead of spiraling in the bottom of the pots.

Yea Boomer, the patients at the dispensaries seem to go for the "coffee shop" buds. The one's they can show off for the color and smell. The guy that owns the collective I go to, said that the patients picks anything puprle so I am sure the more purple the more it will be wanted. Other than that the smell and name is important. They had some cranberry Ksuh that smelled like it was curred with cranberries ( it smelled like a jar of cranberries) that was a big seller for them. So I grabbed an 1/8th over a month ago. Tasted like shit, harsh as hell and short head high..I still have all but the one bowl I smoked. However, I got some banana kush from dispensary in Clear Lake that didn't smell like bananas, but did have a smooth sweet taste and it was amazing, so far the best I have got from a dispensary. I also got some incredible cinderella, but for the most part you can tell that most vendors are trying to get the best yeild and the most colorful buds.

Hey yea, I am looking forward to the individual screens too. Thanks again for the idea. I just came out of my flower room and damn it if there isn't some fuckin little white hopping bugs in my medium. I am so fuckin tired of all the energy and money that goes into combating bugs. I have been using the sucra sheild and I have a pyrith mister during the lights off, but now I have bugs in the medium. So tomorrow I will give them a 15 ml per gal azamax root drench with 2 gals per pot. that is damn near a whole large bottle of azamax.

I was going to water tonight, but the coco is still damp, so I will wait until tomorrow. Here are some pics from tonight.

Thanks buddy! Next time though I am going to try the individual screens. The only down side with a scrog is that once they are in the screen there is no moving them. This is my third run with a solid screen, but bender gave me the idea to try these round medal screens from home depot. They are a little shorter than I would like so I will probably need some bamboo with them, but I should be able to pick them up and move them around if I need to with the individual screens.

I stold this pic from Bender's journal, but these are the screens I picked up the other day. I will be running 9 per 4x4 tray.
