6lbs is pretty much as high as you can go. get ahold of garden knowm, i'm sure he'd love to help you find the info you need to accomplish such a feat :)

yea that question has a lot of loose ends that depends on a lot of things. plants, space, skill, setup! post back with more info. your whole setup.

IMO i think you could get more than 6p's. I know its unlikely. But with the perfect setup i think you could achieve more. Don't just rely on the lights to bring the harvest though. Perfect nutes, climate and love is just as vital. Oh and a hell of alot of reading on this forum :D

I have approx 100 sqft room with 2 1000watt hps bulbs. It'll be an efficient setup.

What recommandations would you suggest for optimal production?

gonna be trial and error involved unless you got a buddy who can go to your grow room and show you, you need to read up big time, good luck

I agree. read as much as you can. I think 3 600Watt mh would be better then 2 1000's provided with the space you said you have. Just make sure you have a good ventalation system.

have you grown without nutes ever??( everyone usually is talking about fert. when they say nutes) just good organics?? cuz honestley thats the best but that my opinion! nutes dont do much against some good organic soil!!! plus its safe!

Like has been said if u dont have a buddy with the already grow room knowhow ur ganna have to do alot of reading and trail and error. your first grow WILL NOT go off without a hitch. Skill only comes with experience. Your ganna have to provide perfect temp/RH, nutrients, no pests, no environmental problems, controlling the smell of that many plants, if ur ganna grow hydro or soil, so many different factors. and you will make mistakes, everyone does, lord knows i have. defieciency here, nute burn there. just all sorts of shit. Anyways i agree i would go with 3 or 4 600s instead of 2 1000's. 600s put out the best lumen per watt ratio, and with more lights u have lots more different angles of light hitting the plants. thats my 2 cents.

I disagree. The type of light during veg stage doesn't really make that big of a difference, but when you're flowering the difference between HPS and MH is pretty big. 2000w of HPS could get you a pretty gnarly stash.

yes 2000 watts is good, but 2 1000 watts isnt the best way to use 2000 watts. personally i just 3 600 watts would be way better, more expensive, but the distribution of light would be very beneficial!

I dont have alot of knowledge but i would def. do alot of research and not just put two 1000 hps in a room and then try to come up with something unless money is not an option come up with a base plan and revise i until you think it will be optimal for your conditions, i started with a ghetto setup and designed a nice one and tht was about 3 months ago and still havent built it cuz every other day i read more and find ways to improve my plan and now have what i think will work great for my situation while not costing me an arm and a leg

measure twice even three times and then cut once, put that saying to use but in your planning stage you will be hapy you did in the end

They are right 4 light can reach into the corners better giving more even light to all plants. also starting with clones will produce shorter fuller plants than babies from seed. Height is a concern inside , as the further from the light source the less actual light the lower branches get ,on ,"from seed plants" , the clones are adults the moment they get roots so they bud properly and are stong enough to hold up big buds even when they're short. Can't do that with "from seed plants". Don't let them (clones) grow much height before setting into bud cycle and the entire plant could become 1 big cola (depending on strain, of course). Rotating plants in the room can also be beneficial so they all get "the sweet spot" under the lights. These are just some suggestions from an old timer, not THE RULES, as I never read all these new books, I just grew organically and had great success without magic fertilizers or hydoponics.

yea i hate all that new stuff (hydro, all those nutes) i grow organics and i get some pretty good results! plus it isnt natural to use all that other stuff, it almost seems like cheating, but thats just my 2 cents. i prefer not to have a ton of chemicals in things im about to ingest! people can say all that gets used, and reverted into energy, but theres always something left, tiny molecules of stuff i dont want inside my lungs. but thats me. to each is own!

are we working on a 100 foot long room by 100 foot or a room with the total capacity of 100 square feet 5x5x1 is 25 square feet x4=1oo square feet 5000 sounds a bit much lol im using 2 600s in a 5x8x6 shed
