Hey y'all I previously tried to grow but had to get rid of the plants. Hopefully won't have the same outcome with this go around. Using 4x3000k 23w and 4x5500k 23w during veg. Will be puttin in more warm spectrum lights during flowering time. Put the seeds in the ground two days ago take a look.

I was planning on only using the 8 lights while they're vegging. Once they show sex unfortunately ill most likely be getting rid of some, which will be less than five but still I will be adding more lights during flower and will be giving them a bigger area to grow in.

Day 3 since I put them in the soil. Currently only using 3x5500k 23w CFL bulbs until I transplant.
I recently purchased one of those 14w LED panels with an all blue spectrum just for supplemental lighting. Can't wait to see these babies grow

Just transplanted the three big ones along with topping the third node off of each. The smaller one was transplanted a week ago and has just started to show some new growth. Hopefully the shock is over and hopin the other three aren't that shocked but these are them at just about 2 weeks old. If anyone can guess what it is I'm using for the scrog I will be very impressed haha! I wouldn't be surprised if half of y'all haven't even heard of it before. HINT: used in the laundry room

looking better DG. Seems they stretched but you can compensate adding more soil/transplanting them in the near future. Keep those lights as close as possible and keep in mind that you need to add more lights too.

I do plan on getting more lights for flower but how many more do I actually need? I'm using a plastic tub about 4 feet long, 2.5 feet wide, and maybe 2.5 feet deep covered in foil with foil on top to reflect light back down. Currently have 10 23w CFLs so how many more would I really need? And as for the stretchiness I tied to two stretchiest plants down and plan to use the tie down method for them while for the other two I plan on just super cropping. They might end up tied down if height becomes a problem. But here's a decent look at the tie down

UPDATE 3 WEEKS: undergrowth has started to come in nicely on the three that were topped although I had some problems with some kind of burn on one of them. The only thing I can guess is its a strain that doesn't like much feeding at all. I'm not using any nutes, just ph'd water in FFOF soil. Planning on letting all the topped ones grow out more and then LSTing with a 4-way tie down.

If anybody can help me diagnose what the problem is with my burned looking plant it would be great appreciated!

Temps stay around 75-80
I let them dry out completely before watering, usually every 3 days.
i don't think it's anything like that because the other three plants are doing fine under the same conditions.

I sub'd this back when you started it. Caught my attention because I will soon (hope) be doing the same grow.(close)
So I will keeping an eye on it.

I am very new at this. But I have been researching for about 6-8 months now. I think I have a good enough handle to get started. And almost have all the "stuff" to get started. Minus the timing ... to much traffic around here for now. Have to wait for safety/security purposes. SOON tho ! /fingers crossed/

So ... I cannot help you on the "burn" look to you babies. I am curious myself to know what it is. Nute burn ? Light ? I hope "we" find out for sure. Or at least what NOT to do.
I did find this (The Never Ending Abuse of Phosphorous (Bloom foods) to Enhance Flowering) that opened my eyes from just about everything else I have read. Makes to much sense, and if it does not help here ... it is a great read anyhow. I think we all may be able to learn something from it. And maybe it will help ?

I've really been thinking hard because it's bothering me that I've treated them all the same but just this one is acting up! So far I'm sold that it's a slight nute burn from the FFOF because it did occur after I watered so maybe I just didn't soak it well enough the first time when I transplanted. I guess only time will tell.. But like I said earlier the new growth on it is looking alright just the tips are burned a bit but not bad.

TM - hope you can get your grow going as soon as possible! Looking forward to seeing how someone else does a grow similar to me. It's always fun to compare with someone who's conditions are alike! Hopefully we can both learn from each other!

YES ... I hope too soon. Most important thing is security. it shouldn't be long

Thats what we do right ... learn from each other ! Did you see the thread I linked before ? Its kinda long (2009) but if you can get through the first 10 pages or so ..

doesn't look like nute burn to me, sort of looks scorched .... was it near a light? It looks sturdy enough to revive. I would trim the really burned leaves and re-veg

If you look through all the pictures I posted you'll see one of them is a picture of the plant after plucking the burned leaves off. I checked on it today and she looks healthy and promising.. Just a tad but ugly at this point hahah
