Else there is this this recipe with the biobizz products, i plan use this with 70% all mix and 30 coco:
• 50% potting soil or Coco-Mix (500 litres)
• 30% Perlite (300 litres)
• 15% BIOBIZZ high quality worm manure (150 litres)
• 5% Pre-Mix (50 litres)

What ya think teacher, is this a good base soil to start the supersoil mix? :eyesmoke:

I didnt respond because I simply have no idea.
It looks good to me if I was in your position I would try it and see
I would start with the bat-mix it looks more in line with what were currently using.

I used straight up pro-mix as my base.
The results were very nice considering I used more base than I should have when mixing up the batch.
I'd rather use roots but it's not available locally, yet the pro-mix filled in ok.
I'm not trying to say it's going to work for you but it's an option..
I do think it requires a little adjusting of the recipe though since pro-mix is missing so much good stuff roots has.

I wish I had a good camera to snap some pictures of your grandkids here maybe soon..

Hey Sub...going to be starting Agent Orange and JRipper soon. Do these plants do better topped and trained or let them grow natural no topping? Stoked to try your wares!

U funny...anyways I jus checked my receipts and u can get the whole mix of soil and additives for about $150.....if u can't find the products locally try online.

I kno san Diego hydroponics sells organic fertilizers and amendments ...fair prices too. I believe they have an online store and I'm sure theyprobably ship with no problem

And ps to whoever +rep me earlier (didn't leave name). U can do this method indoors. .. U don't have to do it outside...:still a lot easier and less involved than those nutrient regime following hydro fools. Lol

I'm given it a run right now....jus started...soil should be cooked enuff by now....about to do transplants into SS

Happy growing..

I know I know, im really not lazy. I just got in very bad wreck and shattered my whole right arm, including my elbow, wrist and i am right handed. and my left hand is a little swollen so its kinda hard to peck at the keys. Im having a couple of surgerys friday and am getting a bunch of metal in my arm. Hell, its taken me 15-20min just to type this.
I found a place in michigan that sells roots for around $10-12 a bag but the shipping alone is around 80.00 bucks. I might just try to find some local soil with similar ingrediants but the Roots has a whole lot of good stuff in it, a lot more than whats around here. Ingrediant wise, i have not found anything better than the Roots Soil.
I would order it online and pay for the shipping but im not working right now and cant afford it, so i guess online is not an option.
Thanks Everyone

I will have to try this. I have been using FFOF with 20% perlite and have had pretty good results but i do get minor burns on the tips which i would like to avoid.

U could jus buy the beneficial bacteria and add it to the base soil to enchance it...Great White is a good product that I added to the RO water when I started 'baking' my SS..it costs about $30.

hope this helps...

I did a ph test of my soil mix and I have a question for y'all.

I watered a 1 gallon pot of soil with 7.3 tap water and let it sit for a day. Ran more water through and tested the runoff.
The ph of my runoff is at 5.8.

I added just over a cup of prilled dolomite to my batch.

Should I add some more lime? Or should I wet the mix a bit more and let the dolomite do its thing?

My amendments are the same as subs recipe except for the medium. I used a 50/50 mix of Pro-Mix and Happy Frog. I cant get roots where I am...

Thanks for any help.
