2012 outdoor bud pictures, who's got buds?

Just saw my two plants earlier today. To make a long story short, I'm not living where they're growing right now (about 45 minutes away), so I'm counting on my partner to feed and water and everything else. Noticed today that both plants look like they could use some nitrogen, so I fed them some Grow Big in conjunction with the Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom I'm using (my partner is out of town for the week so I made the drive to feed and water). To be fair though, I told him not to bother with the Grow Big because the plant wasn't showing any signs of nitrogen deficiency, but I think he's gonna have to start feeding the plants that too.

Anyways, the first two shots are bud shots (clearly) and the last two pics are just of the plants. This is my first grow, and these plants are about on their 13th day of flowering. I'm getting concerned that I'll have to harvest early due to cold weather (I'm at the 45th latitude), but I'll be happy as long as I can get decent, smoke-able weed that I grew myself.

By the way, the strains are unknown. Bought two clones from somebody and he didn't know the strain, so I'm gonna need to think of something to call them.

I've named my favorites, lol.

Don't worry about yellow leaves. They look great. Skip the N, unless the bloom nutes have zero N.

You think so? Well the Tiger Bloom has a ratio of like 2-8-4 (I think), so it does have some. Well, I'll see how they go after today's feeding. I guess they just looked way more yellow than they usually do which is why I thought I should give them a little N boost.

What if the whole plant starts yellowing overall? Mine isn't but everyone has scared me about having enough N during flower haha i want to cut N like you Laney but im scared lol...my bloom nutes are 2-8-4, bat guano at 1-10-1, and molasses (1-0-5 i think)...think ill be good?

Dude i thought the same thing about my plants today and they are on day 9 of flower. However, i usually see them in shade after work and today i was off early and seen them in full sun. I took some pics and after overlooking them they look theyre usual dark selves. lol and the Tiger bloom is 2-8-4 im using the same thing

I have a foliar spray that is 2-4-2 that I mix with my 1-8-7. That's as high of a concentration I'll go at this stage (3-12-9). If they were well fed in veg, it really should be enough. Don't forget, you have all those fan leaves that you didn't cut off to let the light in

Ah alright, I'll probably just stick with what I was doing before then.

And the only fan leaves I've cut off were the fully yellow or dead looking ones. Do you usually cut off the fan leaves to let more light in? I thought about doing that, but I've heard conflicting reports.

No, I never cut off fans - they are our insurance now. We don't have to worry because we've fed her well in veg and she has that reserve :)

Ahh, I think I get what you're saying.

There's nitrogen reserves in the leaves that the plant will utilize if it runs low on overall nitrogen? Is that what you're saying?

Here is a Blue Hawaiian that is 1 month into flower. I started this from seed then gave it to a friend. I just put one of mine out yesterday, should be in flower within a week.

From the looks of it, i thnk u gave the blue dream away, both of those look gdp to me, but in the middle pic, the plant closer looks like a gdp, but so does the other one. Gdp has that bouncy leaf look. If i had to bet, id say the yellower one is gdp, gdp tends to yellow quickly if not fed lots of nitrogen

Agreed. I had a feeling I gave away the blue dream. I think the larger/skinnier one isn't quite as far along as the other. However, the shorter one is growing some very nice thick buds. A few branches have been breaking a bit due to the weight of the nugs, so i've tied up a few pieces of string along the plant for stabilizing.
