2014 Greenhouse Adventure

So I've been saying over and over how I was going to start a thread and just never do so here it goes.

The Build:
The building of the greenhouse was a long process. It started on 6/4 and didn't end until 7/1.

So this was attempt one.
First we had to move an entire roof by hand out of the way. (The seller built it and it wasnt to code so he had to tare it down and start the roof over)
Then we leveled and built the frame.
Next the end walls
and finally the plastic.

When it was done it looked great, however we didn't secure some supports correctly and messed up some minor things that lead to be major problems.

So this is the aftermath of a terrible storm and a greenhouse built by three guys who didn't really know what they were doing lol

One side was collapsing in and it was leaning to fall over another way.
If the wasn't bad enough, the wind actually picked it up off the rebar I was using for support.
To save it I took the plastic off and decided re evaluate the structure.

I'd put some large cement footers in place to keep that foundation solid. You'll get her figured out one way or the other!

After figuring out the rebar i was using actually got bent over from the wind we decided to go with the thickest size they had and then also add supports going down the middle to help keep it from falling one way or the other. Then to prevent it being picked up we tied it down with straps like a circus tent and pounded 2x4s into the ground screwing them into the main frame to keep it down.

Finally once we got it structurally sound we added the breaker for lights, fans, heaters etc in the future. and We used T-111 for the end walls to help with framing in fans.

Then the fun finally started :) Filled 65 65gal pots with half FFOF and half Roots organic.
12 plants were bought on 6/12 as clones and then another 8 teens.
The rest weren't purchased until 7/1 because I didn't know what my plant count would be.
They were transplanted to their final pots on 7/11.

Upset my season got started so late but pretty happy with how much they've grown the past few weeks. Had then on 18/6 since 7/1 and going to keep them vegging for another 2 maybe 3 weeks.

Thanks, it was definitely a project but now that everything's up and running it was worth all the stress

Here's an update for today.
The bigger plants in the middle were started in June the rest on 7/1. Definitely pleased with how much they've grown. It's no JJ or GB garden but not shabby for a late start lol

Few updates for the week. Going to be flipping them into flower next Monday. Excited to see them start changing.

Anyone who's good at guessing weight feel free to take some guesses I have no idea what this will end up being.
