Ya I'm still lovin that revolver, definitely gonna try it. how many days from germ is she?
The revolver (in the blue bucket) is doing very well, and so is the Low Flyer...not so happy with the Early Miss

the revolver sprouted on May 27th, I'm very pleased with this strain... thinking 3 to 4 more weeks (give or take) until chop

my friend started one on April 15th...he just harvested

August 17th Update

The weather has been cloudy with light drizzle, cool and muggy with high humidity, which has been causing powdery mold issues

The Zinnia flowers started to develop allot of PM, then the blue bucket gal got a bit...so cleaned her up and have a fan on her, seems okay now

The other two plants have not had any PM.....the 2 litre (Low Flyer) still gets about 4 hours/day of CFL which is a warmer, lower RH environment, and the soil dweller (Early Miss) spends the night in a ventilated dark room

BTW: forgot to mention that the Low Flyer in the 2L pop bottle is already showing some amber trichromes on the top of the cola....it won't be long now before harvest

Also....what do people like better, full size pic's or thumbnails pics?

Everything looks great, and it must feel nice to harvest coming into sept. instead of oct.
Me I would get rid of the Zinnia, after my experience with PM I'd be very prejudiced.

I lite up the fireplace (natural gas) and it really helped lower the RH...the room temp only went up a few degrees, but the RH dropped from +70% to 55%

Yup...I think it's time for the Zinnia to take a road trip

P8210004.JPG P8210001.JPG P8210007.JPG August 21 - Update

damn PM is killing me, I thought I had it under control as the weather has improved, RH is about 50 to 55%, and have a fan running 24 hours/day

It's only the blue bucket gal, the other 2 have no issues...the Zinnia flowers have been removed from my apartment

So I have been chasing the PM, wiping it off with a wet paper towel, but this morning a bunch more emerged.

I would prefer not to use chemicals to combat, but it may come down to that....or maybe defoliation would help to allow better air circulation.

I'm guessing 2 to 3 more weeks until harvest....I may harvest early if I can't get it under control

Good luck man. Have you tried any baking soda sprays. It lowers ph of leaves so pm cant grow

If you are seeing powdery-looking patches on the foliage of your plants, you most likely have a case of the very common powdery mildew fungal disease. Here is a simple spray for controlling the spread of the fungus. It won't get rid of the fungus on leaves that already have it, but it will prevent it from spreading to the rest of the plant.

Ingredients:

  • 1 gallon of water
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid
Mix the ingredients together and add them to a spray bottle. Spray your plants weekly, preferably on overcast days to prevent it from burning the foliage.

thanks BcDigger....I mixed up a batch and it sprayed it down, the white powder is basically gone, maybe with some residue..... but I see no new growth of mildew (warmer weather and lower RH also helps)

I had put the zinnia flowers outside on the balcony, so I also gave it a major misting (about 500 ml) then repeated the next day....the PM is about 98% washed off....I'll give it one more soaking

Anyhow, it's looking so much better so I'll keep it as an outdoor plant as long as it stays healthy...I like the alternate smell

August 25th Update

The bucket gal was starting to lean really bad, as when the perlite goes dry there is just not enough strength in the medium to hold the bamboo pole straight ....hence I wired-up some support for the poles and she's standing much straighter now.

The soil gal may also need some support, as she's on a bit of an angle but the buds are still light so no rush

As always thing look great. As far as the PM last grow I tried sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and potassium bicarbonate (better product) but neither would kill the PM and it still seemed to spread. I've got some PM again this run (I'm sure it has everything to do with the Lemon Kush never had it before this strain and the PM started both grows on it) This time I'm using a H2O2 wash, it does kill the shit, only been at it for a few days It looks good so far but only time will tell.

It's good to have plant support as your major growing problem at this time. Makes us get creative which is good brain exercise.

!!Dude!!

(Most hip remark this AARP member could come up with)
Never heard of AARP before....and I'm still not 100% sure what/who they are

Anyhow, I got banned by an over zealous mod who didn't like hearing the truth about what sunni had posted...so mini-me is now in control of the world, ever since Dr.Evil and his hairless cat were frozen

I harvested the Dwarfed Low-Flyer last Sunday, just jarred it up today, I can't believe I pulled off about 35 grams...I may re-weight that on my gun powder scales as that seems high

I sampled the popcorn buds and it's really tasty, not overly powerful but I'm sure the rest will be better...will post some pics as soon

cheers

The blue bucket gal is getting close but stills needs more time, just starting to see a few amber trichrome
The dirt dweller still has a long ways to go but is starting to fatten upP9010002.JPGP9060014.JPG P9070021.JPG P9070023.JPG P9070018.JPG P9070020.JPG

AARP=American Association of Retired Persons. It just means you are over 50.

Harvest time is the best. I've been overwhelmed the past 2 wks with work, travel, and harvest. Just started on the 17gal hempy yesterday evening, hope to have it done by the end of the weekend.

They sure cleaned out Indoor Sun King, I'm surprised they didn't delete all threads and posts. Well onwards and upwards.
