Hi Inferno. I'm Eastern Ontario.

Aim for June 1st to put them out. I'm a little more risk averse so I have some out May 24 weekend.

Start germinating your seed the last week of April and your seedlings should be 4 weeks old by the time you put them out. That's pretty safe against frost.

But if you have room and don't mind a little indoor forest, start your seedlings April 1st.

Just keep in mind that they should be transplanted at 4 weeks if you started them in 4 inch pots.

I am from cambridge ont just down the road I have plants about 20 inches tall growing now in a tent to put outside in the yard .but i usually plant around may24 ish ...just have to make sure to match the hours of light if your growing inside first in a tent or whenever if you dont it may trigger early flowering.


Nice to see someone close to me.on the forum though !

yeah here in Québec i can only plant it outside around may 15th and the first frost is normally mid to late september. I shall see this summer i won't exclusively plant this for that reason

They finished pretty late, actually didn't get to go as long as I wanted before mold creeped in that season. Was very late September if I recall correctly. Curse of being oceanside, super wet here.

Last year I did Amnesia Haze autoflowers and cropped out by the beginning of July, definitely popping more of those this season.

BC Big Bud is specifically bred to be a quick finisher. Good yield, quick finish, especially for a sativa dominant strain. It's literally designed to be a cash crop.

I have properties in both southern and northern BC, and will put a handful of plants out at each location. The northern location I grow in a greenhouse as the grow season is a whole lot shorter up there.

I’m in n.b .. going with lemonade OG x freezeland , Durban freezeland gold, eleven roses and got 3 freebies coming I know about n e ways, easy sativa x skunk .. it’s from realgorillaseeds .. also I got a killer 8ball kush pheno I jus took a clone of, I cloned my best gorilla zkittlez too lol gonna have like half a dozen strains running this year outdoors probly, n sum will b giants by the first the June should b a good year (fingers crossed*)

I’m also in nb and going with Quebec gold, bc big bud, and super skunk. See if any of these work out for our climate!

Here's what I'm going with this year. First year trying Auto's with the Auto Lemon Zkittles and Moby Dick. I've had good success with Sweet Seeds fast versions so I'm trying the Killer Kush this year. The Big Nugs fast version are a Big Bud cross and I also have some Juicy Fruit seeds around here

The weather is so good here this spring. Just hardening these off and will be putting them outside in the next day or two. Never gone from a solo cup into the ground before, always had them in 1 or 2 gallon smart pots but this year I'll be skipping that stage and see how they react. Gets down to 10 degrees celsius here at night so pretty sure they'll be fine.

I lost 100 seedlings last year because I thought it was nice enough. Lol

I hear you. If there was a chance of frost I would have held back but our weather is looking great right through May. The plants have been out a few days now and are just loving it. The cool thing I noticed that's different from putting bigger plants out is they are small enough that heavy winds don't affect them. I still have tomato cages for them but they don't even need them yet. I'll definitely do this again next year if the weather allows.

I suppose if I was planting 100+ plants I would likely eliminate any risk by putting out at the end of May but I'm just growing the 9 outdoor plants I'm allowed to grow legally.

Hey there - may I ask how old these are? I started my beans too late (rookie mistake) and they're just small girls for now..but I started in solo cups just like yours - wondering how long yours took to look so pretty? ;) I am also planning to toss them outdoors..not sure currently if I have enough light on them - I feel like they're growing slow but also know I'm impatient AF and a first timer so...hoping they turn into what yours did..any advice?

I started them in jiffy pellets on 4/20. So 3 weeks ago. I brought them outside every day for the 3rd week and gradually gave them more sunlight. Nothing special really. I've found in the past that when they grew slowly it was because I wasn't hitting them with enough light. Gotta find that balance between hitting them hard but not hard enough to cause curling on the leaf. Mine are in a 2'x4' tent with a DIY 320w led strip build. You can either blast the light and keep the plants further away or raise them up toward the light and turn the power down. Took me a grow or two to realize how hard I can push it but that was definitely the reason why I had slower growing seedlings.
