Little bit early, not a bad thing around here.

I've got 1 of 4 gorilla glues from same breeder/seed pack throwing a bunch of pistils now too, I wasnt expecting it for at least another 2weeks... I also have 2 freebie white widow regulars that both are female, and one just started throwing a bunch more as well.. Everything except one og kush that is growing like shit anyway has been confirmed female (most are fem seeds anyways)

Not fully in flower yet but we're showing signs of transition and maturity at least. Time goes quick looking back.

Hey guys, I have some outdoor girls that I’ve been doing some LST, supercropping and some selective defoliation. I am noticing there are some really thin branches that have reached to the top of the canopy. Will they thicken up over time and become a good site for colas or are they going to be a waste of plant energy to keep around?

I am removing a lot of lower growth that is trying to grow up the middle but I haven’t brought myself around to removing some of the lower side growth. I’m not sure if I need to defoliate more, for now I’ve been more cautious until I feel like it’s going to be for the best.

If I should do more defoliation, should I do it this weekend and stop after that so that the plants can recover before they go into early flower? Should I be removing any of the side branches of the main branches? I’ve never grown outdoors and I just completed my first indoor grow and I had a bunch of popcorn nugs so I would like some guidance on what I could do differently this time. Obviously there’s more sun light for these outdoor plants so I don’t know if they would benefit from a major defoliation as they would if they were indoors under lights.

These ladies are all Durban poison clones. I have 5 in 7 gallon fabric pots, 2 in 5 gallon fabric pots and one in a 20 gallon grow bag. I’ve been using organic tomato fertilizer and supplementing with Alaska fish fertilizer about once every 7-10 days. I will top dress with a mix of more tomato fertilizer and Dr. Earth flower girl in first week of August and start adding Alaska Morbloom fertilizer to my liquid feeds as the plants start to enter early flower.Any tips and advice on what I can do differently to maximize my harvest is greatly appreciated.

cant wait to see these a month from now. Looks fantastic
hit me up next time you're up my way, it's looking a lot more interesting out there now ... it's a good time to grab some clones off these if there's anything you want to run

... I also found this really nice looking Peanut Butter Breath male ... i'm gonna pair it with the Bubba Hash that's killing it in the greenhouse right now, so far it's my favorite plant ever... hopefully I'll create something that'll do really well outdoors for years to come

Tallest Balkhi is a boy, as I suspected. This is the most developed banana I see so far, although they are busting out everywhere. Stealthfader, recalling your excellent advice, how much longer would you give this bad boy before chopping him down and saving a branch inside to propagate a few seeds?

Any thoughts on when flowering will kick in? The daylight hours chart doesn't come down to 13 hours until sept.....

Here's a couple decent examples I have going now ... this first one got flipped about 12 days ago, and I just moved it outside to continue flowering... in about 7-10 days (but before they start opening up and dropping pollen) ...I'll chop one or two of the main stems, put it in a cup of water, and move it inside to quarantine under a cheapo led light or window sill

Then this next one has been chopped and inside for about 12 days ... it's starting to drop some pollen and I never let them all fully open ... I don't need all that pollen floating around ... i'll be keeping an eye on this one and within the next 2-3 days I'll chop the pollen sacs off into a small brown paper bag and let them dry for a while ... once their dry and crispy I'll screen all the plant matter out with kitchen strainer and store the pollen in the freezer ... you only need a tiny amount of pollen to create a shitload of seeds, so there's really no point in keeping the entire plant ... this one little top will give me all the pollen I could ever need

Gotcha, my male isn’t anywhere near as far along as your first pic, so I’ll leave him be for a bit before taking a cut and zapping the rest of him.

I believe at the end of July will be enough dark to set things off... It can be strain and location dependent though, some have started the first stages now. But usually by Aug 1st the daylight will be less than 14.5 but its the dark period that triggers flower so really it means like 9.5 dark thats not including any civil twilight or anything. Usually by the 2nd/3rd week of august no matter where I grow or what strain it is, they are usually into flower by then every year.

I just started on this thread and saw your ball jars. I use the same jars and vacuum seal them with a mother vac pump I got at harbor freight. I have two year old stashed in those and it is still really good

interesting idea. I may try that but I go thru way faster than I would need to store it long term lol

Was thinking the same, I've seen it scaled up to 5 gal buckets... Good thing it doesnt take much so that same pump running that one mason jar could probably run a couple 5 gal buckets. Theres a video floating around here somewhere.

I use heavy cardboard cases with 12 half gal ball jars. It takes less than 5 mins per case. The weed keeps very well. Walmart sells them with the cases and they have lasted for years,

do you grow autos as well? these look like theyre doing amazing!
Thanks! I’ve learned so much from you guys and this board, it’s definitely made the difference I feel.

I haven’t tried auto’s yet, but I think I will next season.

I also want to try some CBD’s to process into salves etc. I recently tried a CBD salve on my shoulder, and IT WORKS! So I figure I’ll make my own.663E7374-C857-460D-93DD-1B308AF90D91.jpeg
