Haha perhaps! I’m wary of most fungicides especially in flowering; I know that some are essentially permanent or
difficult to wash off, and I’d be worried about their affect in flavor not to mention toxicity when combusted and inhaled.
BT really is best used as a prophylactic I.E. preventative treatment and utilized on a routine scheduled basis every week once flowering begins.
I, admittedly, was ignorant of this wisdom, and ended up playing catch-up on my ‘SFV OG’; I got hit hard by caterpillars because she started flowering second week of July and thus there was more bud mass development that subsequently better allowed the botrytis to take hold.
I then began a weekly scheduled BT regimen, and I am just now finding some small areas of bud-rot on my other, later-flowering plants, which are relatively minor compared to the SFV.
Question:
1). Do you guys wash your buds, and if so what do you use?
2). Anyone used the BT that’s supposed to be effective as a fungicide - Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis?
3). Can you guys recommend a favorite brand of pruners? What works well for you?
