Effff me , it's either bud rot, or from the cold weather, way, had to remove this little guy. BOHICA, I just used the leaf blower, to try and dry off the tops. That's when I found the damage. This plant has been the problem child of the garden anyways.. many of the leaves turned yellow, had a few nice buds, like the one I took off, but was always kinda sickly. I went a bit further than the basics with roll up sides, a ridge vent and full automation. The sides were made 2 feet higher by using base posts. You can see this in the construction thread.


For the basics,

1.3' chain link fence top rail tube 2x per 12' hoop. I spaced the hoops at 4' increments with doubles at the ends for future light dep.

Whoa Nelly! Doing a bud rot inspection, I noticed my tops are swelling big time! It's that time of year when I'm doing a balancing act between bud rot, mold, cool weather and the 'when am I done' game. Each day I look at my plants and go, meh, come on, what's taking so long.and then there's the day like today, when I finally go out and go "WHOA!!! FINALLY!!!" Pretty excited and hoping this warm weather will let them continue to fruition. Things are looking up! !!
One other thing, the pistils on my buds have shot up, they are stretched out like 2" long, never seen that before. This could be that last growth spurt, I want to juice them. But their not due for feeding for 3 -4 days. Nice and windy out today - hope it dries things out well, and that the 3 days of cold weather doesn't stall things out, if it doesn't could be a good ending to this season. Tic Effing Toc.

Once budrot shows worst thing one could do if blow the spores all over the place with a leaf blower same with pm, I learned the hard way!
 
Things have been going well so far, been spared on PM and rot for the most part. This dry and windy weather is clutch right now! Few spots of PM that get spot treated with greencure, I have a batch of LABS I made earlier in the season ready to go if it starts getting out of control. Maybe pulled off a few would-be grams of rot which definitely wont be the last. One of the buds that got rot was from a seeded calyx that did its natural thing and died once the seed finished...definitely not good since there could be more - its like these could be little rot bombs hidden all throughout the garden if theres anymore seeds I didnt pick off in time.
I definitely can see the buds are nowhere near as fat as last years crop, heres a Critical + 2.0 cola from this day last year and a Critical Super Silver Haze cola now. These plants have similar genetics and in veg looked exactly the same. The bud structure and smell is pretty similar too just not the size.

My strawberry cough is completely yellow. Its worse at the top middle, looks like the buds coming off the top main branches have bad retardation and what looks like leaf burn compared to the lower side colas which are developing fine and look way greener. She had some weird mutations early on at the top shoots and it probably didn't help that my soil mix was too light in the nute department.

Cold weather been bringing out some beautiful colors on the bagseed though.

I mix 1 part skim milk with 9 parts tap water and use a 2L pump sprayer to drench the plants. I've read any milk will work but skim has less fat so it may not leave as heavy a residue, not sure how true that is, this last time I used 1% because the sell by date happened to be longer when i was buying it.

I did spray with hydrogen peroxide and water a few times but to me it looked like the leaves didn't like it. The plants seem to have zero negative effect with the milk spray, doesnt even smell bad as you would think.

1 Tablespoon of baking soda in 32oz of water is all I spray for PM. Works good.

Can use clean 5 gallon buckets, larger make it easier to wash larger amounts obviously. My last wash I used:

-1 box baking soda with the juice from 2 fresh lemons in 10 gallons water (18 gallon container). 1st Wash.
-1 cup 3% hydrogen peroxide in 4 gallons water (5 gallon bucket). 2nd Wash
-Rinse thoroughly in sink.

The only negative I noticed was the trichomes appeared elongated after washing, but they seemed all there and not damaged or missing. Probably have to be a little gentler.

The last top dressing I did was 4 weeks ago with Dr. Earth flower girl and then I did a a morbloom/fish emulsion watering about 2 weeks ago. Would it be a good idea to do another top dress today if I’m planning to harvest in 4 weeks? Let me know what you guys think.

Those plants are dead. dig one up and inspect the roots and you will find your answer.

For sure. More than a few growing outside in our town; I can smell plants on the breeze every morning/evening as I drive down just my (long) street. It’s a wonderful thing, a very wonderful thing; it’s as it *should* have been all along in our beautiful country - a freedom of personal choice. The true American Way.
