15’ that’s AMAZING!Sorry to hear of some woes. So far so good here, not seeing anything amiss on the plants. Been hitting them with B.t. every five days since mid-August (and re-applying right after it rains). No rot anywhere, and I haven’t seen any PM for a couple of weeks at least - and there was very little before that. I’m liking the plants’ resilience for sure.
Now to get to the finish line. Some of the Tirah are actually starting to get somewhere -

Still not very aromatic although there’s a skunky aura in the air.
Hawaiian Hashbud X Balkhi OTOH has a very strong scent that right now smells like a lime vanilla creamsicle with a little model glue thrown in. The tips here to hit her with some Cal-Mag etc. to keep the tips of the flower sites out of chlorosis were dead on; thanks for the helpful input! She is bulking up nicely and already pretty resinous, hoping she’s done by the end of the month -

On Sunday the two plants in the foreground here were both within 6” of hitting 15’ - WTF, stop stretching already!

Not sure if it’s a blessing or a curse - lots to manage and keep an eye on. Just glad they don’t seem to mind wet weather.15’ that’s AMAZING!
I did end up getting a new multi-ladder a few weeks ago LOL. Needed a better outside ladder anyway and the monstah plants were a good excuse to dip into the wallet. Just didn’t expect to max out the strain description of 1-4 meters in this climate! Agree that the more open/less congested the plant architecture the better, although so far the cross I made last year that does have tight nodes and thick flowers has proven just as resistant to problems.I’ve noticed sativa dominated plants aren’t as susceptible to mold and mildew as hybrids with a larger indica percentage…a ladder is always a necessity to spray and inspect the “upper bud” portion.
I just trimmed about an oz of popcorn sucker buds off one to blast some fresh frozen. Trying to concentrate on the terminal colas, pinched a bunch off about a month ago but the scragly lower buds keep coming back.Is there a general consensus on defoliating outdoor plants?
No such thing as Set and forget in cultivation.I just trimmed about an oz of popcorn sucker buds off one to blast some fresh frozen. Trying to concentrate on the terminal colas, pinched a bunch off about a month ago but the scragly lower buds keep coming back.
What really pisses me off is finding a couple seeds, another reason i’m done growing outdoors. Some Masshole is growing a male somewhere. No such thing as Set and forget in cultivation.
Rained again on off the last two of days…I used my leaf blower to eliminate bud moisture and during inspection noticed a few small spots of botrytis cinera beginning to form….cut out the problem areas and applied an anti fungal spray.
Got about three more weeks to chop!View attachment 4984080
