I don't think DeSantis will have the same luck as Trump, Trump was mean and cruel to the bone and his fanatical base loved it, he was gonna punish their enemies and git them liberals real good! DeSantis is mean lite, he's still a cocksucker, but he has brakes and that is the last thing the base wants, constraint, the crazier the better. DeSantis can't fake crazy very well when he speaks and lacks the viciousness to excite the base like Trump could.I’m expecting the Desantis and Karlsen ticket
I hope it will all add up to a big enough democratic majority to make a difference, there are laws and policies that can diminish this bullshit by a lot very quickly. The democratic party has a constitutional duty to exterminate the republican party as a national entity, this is different than politics as usual, these people want to play for keeps. Politics went out the window when civil war came in the door, which is why facts don't matter any more, when there are "alternate facts" available, no matter how transparently false.
Let's hope the democrats get the timing right, because a war inside the GOP is just what you need to win, J6 won't do it, abortion won't do it, guns won't do it, but Donald fucking over the GOP will, we hope.

I think desantis pulls almost every single republican voter that went to biden back into the fold. He gives them cover. It will be right back to "well we don't know what they will do when elected." I think they are shedding trump, but not trumpism. Trump didn't lose by that much, a slightly less offensive version should worry democrats. Those margins were way way too close.

DeSantis will have a clear run, but he's kinda like Romney in the way he comes across, even though he try's to play mean. That's Trump's secret and why the shit doesn't work for everybody, the base instinctively know Donald would deliver minority rule. They are at war Roger and like any people at war demand a strong leader who will get the job done. Remember, fear is their primary motivator, expressed as rage, many also experience rage as a result of depression turned inward. Rage is building on the democratic side too, but it's motives are different and so is it's intent. The democrats just want a better country and society that keeps up with it's peers, the republicans want power and their base wants minority rule In any war the first victim is the truth and then freedom. If they believe they are winning why do they need to rig the system, cheat and deny the results of elections? This causes serious damage to the nation and is completely without legitimate cause.
I used to think the constitution failed the people, but it is merely flawed and can be amended, the current problem is the people failing the constitution and only people can protect the meaning and spirit of a document.

I watch their live streams sometimes to see what they think about things, the republicans lost a lot of very effective people who saw the light.
