I just topped mine earlier, even though I won already. I'll probably top 7-10 times before putting her to flower
Trim the roots or let it ride. It's a solo cup challenge for a reason.Hey you guys. Give me a little help here please. Day 30 an I'm strongly considering up potting because I have got a frigging clue how to handle this type of situation.

Yeah, I know. It's just totally going against my gardening senses that have been honed for 25+ years. How will trimming the roots affect the plant overall?Trim the roots or let it ride. It's a solo cup challenge for a reason.

Looks fresh!I find if I do slits with a knife instead of drilled or punched holes the roots stay in the cup because there's less gap in the plastic but the water still drains out just as easily. But leaving it will have them air prune themselves, so probably doesn't matter...
I bent the main stem in half to get a better profile...

No flowering yet!
Either trim or let em dry out. If they sit in a tray, lift em up so the roots aren't sitting in the water and keep growing.Hey you guys. Give me a little help here please. Shouldn't really matter if the plant is healthy.Yeah, I know. It's just totally going against my gardening senses that have been honed for 25+ years. How will triming the roots affect the plant overall?
This might go against the "rules", but this may work. There happens to be a little cup holder right in the middle of this potholder. Cup fits perfectly with room on the bottom still. I could even do an ad hoc Hydro experiment. Haven't done hydro at all neither. That would totally blow the rules up.Either trim or let em dry out.
