220 +/- CFL closet bagseed grow. (my first grow, ever) LOTS OF BUD PICTURES

so, I started this grow over a month ago.. I just never got around to starting a journal haha. I've got 2 plants grown from seed, and 4 clones (all rooted in soil under 12/12!). same strain, clearly indica dominant, the stems are a dark purple usually.
For a first grow, I haven't managed to fuck anything up too bad.

Heres a quick overview
- 1.3 gal pots
- Miracle grow organic choice coco 50/50 mix (actually pretty good stuff)
- 12/12 from seed/clone
- around 220 watts of cfl
- ventilated custom grow box inside of closet.
- Neptunes harvest 2-3-1 and a little bit of schultz bloom plus+

I know the first 2 pics have a plant in them that has too much nitrogen (doesn't look as dark as it actually is) There was some canoeing on the bigger fan leaves, and a bit of clawing. None of it was severe. but it has been flushed with around 4 gallons of water (condition has not become worse, and new growth is a lighter shade of green). Some of the leaves are lightening up a bit, but is it true it takes a bit for the plant to consume the extra nitrogen?

So what do you guys think? pretty good for a first try?

Looks good to me. You said you started over a month ago...How did you get to the bud stage so quick?

I did 12/12 from seed. there actually 50 days old. showed sex between day 20-30. I don't know how the buds are this big at 50 days, even with 12/12 from seed. the big one still needs a few more weeks!

Oh crap, i havnt seen anyone to 12/12 from seed with a cfl. How many days do you expect till they finish? and how much do you expect to yield of the 2?

Not sure if I can answer those questions but, I will try! first off, how much time they have left. from a lot of the research I have done, it looks like buds spit out an initial set of hairs, then the calyxes swell, and it puts out some more hairs before it reaches maturity. my buds are immature, and only on there initial set of hairs/calyxes. I am thinking they probably have 2-3 more weeks (but I will wait untill they are finished before I chop them regardless of how much time passes) as for yield.. I don't know really. The most mature plant looks like it could yield over an ounce. The plant that isn't as far along has a nice thick stem and lots of vegetation. Only time will tell. guess you'll just have to stick around and see what I get !

About it being CFL and 12/12 from seed. I tried it because I wanted to keep the plants small. It seems to work, lots of node growth with very little height increase!

Not i'm not sure about what will happen with my 12/12 from clone plants those were done in the name of science!

oh nice, i'm planning on growing 3 plants from seed under a 250w cfl in a relfector and another 250w cfl around the plants for extra lighting. I was thinking of vegging for 2-3 weeks then flowering but i tink i'll just go 12/12 from seed since it's worked so well for you. I've subscribed to the thread bruh.

if you can set up a separate area to veg, do so. start 3 plants in veg and 3 under 12/12. it's very easy to turn a 34 gallon plastic tote into a veg box. please by all means, post some pics in here when you get started!

i dont think i'll have a lot of space but i'll start a grow journal when i get things sorted out. good luck.

found this old picture, 2 females, 2 males. Not sure which is which though. was Taken on March 15th. Day 60 is approaching. I was told 12/12 from seed only takes around 60 days. No way these are 5 days off. Will take some new pictures for you guys sometime tomorrow.

cool man with the 12/12 from seed; experimentation only leads to discoveries!! I have a very limited grow space and contemplated this tactic, but settled on some autos. At first I thought you had autos But they look great for what they are man.

Thanks! This entire grow was just that, experimentation. I am actually picking up the stuff to turn my ottoman into a veg box. figure I can veg the plants for a couple weeks untill they branch out, then throw them into flower. only about 16 inches of room in there. but should be plenty.

Hey guys, It's a WIP but almost done. I plan on putting a power strip in there.. I forgot to pick one up.




I checked my plant this morning, new calyxes are coming up in between the old ones! looks like the buds are about to put out there final set of Calyxes.

is that 220w equivilant? or actual wattage

about 50w actual of cfl. Made that little light hood and mounted it to the top, it works awesome! so much brighter down there. very little light waste.

anyone notice three of them are purple? got down to around 60 in my room one night. and they got purple. did nothing to the other strains. But I was told they were a GDPx so guessing that information is true.
