Recently I went down to the local hardware store and found a great deal on some 23w 2700K CFL's...12 in the pack for around $21-23...forget the exact amount but less than $24 for sure. Awesome price.

however when it comes to hunting down a good price for 23w 6500K CFL's i have run into a problem...that problem being they are much more expensive to purchase than the 2700K version. :wall:

Anyone know a good place (online or in store) that would have 23 w. 6500K ones a decent price at least in the same ballpark as the 2700K's...

I check major conglomerate stores like Walmart.com and Kmart.com, Meijer.com, HomeDepot.com (there website suxxx), for weekly adds, that's your best bet and keep your receipt when its time to change over to 2700Kelvin lights return and swap for needed Kelvin lights hehe.

im frustrated guys. thanks for the ideas. i checked those websites...nothing too different from what i've been finding however.

looks tough to get those 6500k's...especially in packs... :(

well that sucks. so now idk. more looking i guess. i just think $40 for 12 is just unreasonable considering i could get the same wattage in the 2700K for $20 something...

Screw it i would buy the 6500 and replace bulbs with 2700 and return to store. i just returned 4 packages of 3packs and swapped them for 6500s.

The growth of the plant will slow down by about ten times slower in vegetative state with only 2700k lights. You WILL need 6500k lights if you want mature plants before flowering sometime this century.

But you can go straight to flowering from seed with nothing but 2700k 12/12.. smaller yield of course.
