24/0 isn't natural?

I once read that plants grown under 24/7 would grow 33% faster than plants under 18/6 so of course I was all over it..
Ime, not only did they not grow 33% faster, I'd say they grew about 33% slower..
Imvho, plants are just like any living thing and need a break every now and again to flourish .. my experience has proven this to be true as well! So back to either 18/6 or 20/4 I went, and my plants thanked me for it..

I've ran 24/0 vegging with great success. Perhaps others with less success are unable to keep up with the demands of the plant? Things like heat become a much harder issue to deal with.

this is Engeløya im pretty sure during the 24 hours of light they have a grow season, maybe good for autos... im just saying people make comments all the time about how 24/0 isnt natural and yet some places on earth that is their grow season

low light growing 24/0 is much better IMO probably not as good for them under MH or HPS

Not much weed growing up there, it is a tropical plant ya know.
what's tropical? i google it and i see tropical areas around equator and that's like 12/12

wiki says "the plant is believed to have originated in the mountainous regions northwest of the Himalayas"

im pretty sure that's correct ive heard it from multiple sources that cannabis originated in china

Cannabis isn't a tropical plant.
It's a semi-arid plant, almost a desert plant. It's thought to originate from the mountains of the Himalayas.
Just because it grows in the tropics doesn't mean it's native to that region.
A good example is South America, Cannabis isn't native there.

growing in a bucket of water and an air stone isn't natural but it works even better than what is natural. Same with 24/0.

Thread open, btw, everyone chime in.

So what's your question? Are there places on earth that have 24 hours of light?
Go far enough north or south and we all know that at the right time of year the sun never goes down in places like the north pole..
Idk how much cannabis much less anything other than polar bears and Eskimos grow and live this far north or south .. being this far north or south I have never heard of say Greenland kush..

So yes, while there are obviously parts of the world that get 24 hours of light can't see them being very cannabis friendly... or friendly for anything ffs as there's a reason these places aren't highly populated ..

literature has also suggested that more females are produced with slightly longer dark cycles, 14/10 is suggested as the best female producing cycle.

Yeah the subtropics of the Afghanistan Mountains. Indicas are not tropical, sativas are.

The old 24/7 debate. Honestly, I still switch back and forth twice a year. 18/6 in hot summer and 24/7 in cold winter. Over ten years back and forth 18/6, 20/4, 24/7, no difference at all, if everything stays dialed in. That has been my experience.
During winter I run 24/7 to keep warm, summer 18/6 to keep cool.

Got to try both ways for more than a couple grows, remember when you're trying something out of your comfort zone your results will suffer till you get use to the new way of doing things.
