hey man i run 20 CFL's off one outlet-
the fire danger comes when you overload EACH/any single outlet/plug.
i use multi plugs w/ individual cords from each to the next, using the 2 empty to plug in bulbs/outlets; using the other 2 for power in/out.
thats a shit ton of plants for the light though man.
mine is all in one box, near 360 surround, w/ reflection, vent, and always the proximity.
