I messed up by putting my plants under 24 hours of light. People keep telling me that my plants need darkness. My plants are about a month and 2 weeks old. I was wondering if i put my plants on a 18 light 6 dark scheldual without forcing flowering. Any help would be great.:joint:

24/0 is better than 18/6, I've read a ed rosenthal article recently that states that a plant will lose 33% of its growth rate by dropping those 6 hours. The main benefit of 18/6 is that you can use it if you want your plants are going to be ready too soon.

I dunno, because they just go with what they got told. I read this in a ed rosenthal article though, and the information i read leads me to believe that 24 is better.

Basically the foliage grows when the plant is photosynthesizing and soaking up the rays. If its not doing this it isnt growing. So it needs the same amount of light. He also said that its false economy to think its cheaper to run 18/6 because the same amount of light will be required to get it to the same stage so rent and rates cost more because its done over a longer time. Remember your paying rent for the space that they are in.

i heard/read that 18/6 makes the roots grow better. and 24/0 makes it bigger and bushier, but i still do 24/0

If your know enough about growing, you shud have plants mith more than developd roots by 2wks after full germination, 24hrs is the best way to go, grow em big an full or dont grown em at all. The only time i reduce the light cycle off 24hrs is when i drop it to 12/12 so i can start actually developing my chronic
